With pully eyes and an empty stomach, I made my way to the dining room for breakfast.
Crying all night had drained me, leaving a dull ache behind my eyes and an unbearable hunger in my stomach.
I just wanted to eat in peace
But apparently, they were not done playing with me yet.
A notification popped up on my phone.
An email from Sara
My fingers curled instinctively as I stared at the subject line.
[Hi, Lucy. You never gave him heaven, right? Look at him in heaven last night!)
My stomach twisted. For a moment, I considered deleting it without reading
But her provocative words gnawed at me. Before I could stop myself, I clicked it.
A video attachment loaded, and there, in high definition, was Leo and Sara.
Beneath Sara’s dress, she had worn the most enticing lace lingerie, knowing full well where the night would lead
Her arms wrapped around his neck, her body pressing into his, her lips brushing against his car!!
“You can enjoy me as you wish, Leo, she pumed, her fingers deftly unbuttoning his shirt, revealing his sculpted chest
Leo groaned, his need for her consuming every rational thought.
“Baby girl, I won’t be gentle with you tonight!” His voice was raw, thick with desire
Sara smirked, her nails taking down his back.
1 am ready to have yours inside me–as well as our baby.”
Leo’s grip on her thighs tightened, his eyes darkening with unrestrained lust
His lips curled into a wicked smirk.}
“How dare you tease me he growled. “I will definitely make you pregnant, baby”
And then, he claimed her completely. Until the only sounds in the room were her breathless moans and his deep, guttural groans of pleasure.
The tears blurred my eyes in an instant, but before I could compose myself, a voice behind me spoke up
“Do you like watching that kind of scene in the morning?”
I jumped.
Spinning around, I found Ryan standing behind me, his arms crossed, one brow raised in amusement
My face burned with embarrassment.
“It’s not like that!” I stammered, scrambling to close the video.
Ryan took a bite of his sandwich, completely unfazed. “So? What was that?”
i huffed, rolling my eyes. “It was my ex–boyfriend and his childhood sweetheart having a great time. How funny, right?
Ryan’s gaze darkened slightly. “Wow. They really dare to tease you like that?”
His calm reaction surprised me
And somehow, seeing someone support me made something inside me crack.
So, I told him everything
From my backstreet relationship with Leo, to his betrayal, to Sara’s never–ending schemes.
Ryan listened quietly, nodding at the appropriate moments, occasionally sipping his coffee.
When I finally finished, I let out a bitter laugh.
“Of course, I’ve dated before,” I admitted, “but Leo was the longest and most painful.“%
Ryan simply nodded, as if it was not anything out of the ordinary
And for some reason, that made me blurt out an ambiguous question. “Um. you don’t mind, right?”
Ryan tilted his head slightly. “What does it have to do with me?”.
I opened my mouth, then shut it.30.
Ryan’s lips twitched. “Oh, I see. Because we will get mamed soon?“%
My face exploded into heat.
Ryan laughed. “Relax. We’re adults now. No need to be shy talking about this ”
I exhaled sharply, forcing myself to calm down. Still, curiosity gnawed at me.”
“How many girlfriends have you had before?” I asked before I could stop myself.
Ryan smirked. He leaned back lazily in his chair, reaching for his phone.”
“Try searching my name on the internet,” he said. “You’ll find out.”
After Ryan left for work, I focused on getting ready for my first day at the university.
I shoved my phone deep into my bag, determined to not think about Leo or Sara anymore.
They deserved each other. And if Leo had chosen her so easily, I would choose to completely move on

That day out of pure curiosity, I also searched Ryan’s name online and what I found was unexpected
Ryan Donovan, the young CEO, was known for being a workaholic. There were rumors about how women constantly failed to get close to him, how he surrounded himself mostly with men, and how no scandal had ever touched his name.
I raised an eyebrow, closing my phone as I stepped out of the car and entered the mansion after returning from campus.

As I still cursed them in my heart, a maid suddenly asked what I wanted for dinner, I shook my head and asked instead, “Could you tell me where the wine room is?”
The maid led me to the wine room that was massive.
I stared at the overwhelming selection, feeling utterly lost. “How do I even choose?“!
I took out my phone, searching up the different labels one by one, trying to find something not too strong.
After finally selecting a bottle, I turned around, only to freeze. Ryan was already there!
Leaning back in his chair, a half–full glass of wine in his hand, he smirked as he raised an eyebrow at me.X
“Do you need an outlet?” he asked, amusement lacing his voice.
I exhaled and sat down next to him. “It’s been a stressful day.”
Ryan swirled his wine lazily. “How about taking revenge on him too7%
I blinked, tuming to him. “How?”
Before I could react, Ryan leaned in suddenly. His lips crashed against mine, firm and confident, taking me completely off guard. Then, the sharp click of a camera filled the air. A bright flash went off!
I jerked back, wide–eyed, as Ryan pulled away, looking completely unbothered.
He casually held up his phone, showing me the photo of us.
“Send it to your ex he said smoothly, taking another sip of his wine. “Let him realize you don’t need him anymore?
