Chapter 10
Dixon’s POV
I am carrying Sabrina’s bag from the shoe store and go to sit on the bench outside of the store she is in, as she shops just like me, quick in and get what we want and leave. I smell the most amazing scent, jasmine, and a slight citrus scent and I turn to see where it is coming from. I look across to the other side of the mall and I see one of the most beautiful girls I have ever seen. Long dark hair and a curvy figure. I head towards her as she heads toward me, and we meet in the middle of the mall smiling at
one another.
My mate is stunning with a beautiful smile, a dimple on her left cheek, and beautiful soft brown eyes. I want to bury my face in her neck and take a deep breath to just inhale her intoxicating scent. I am so happy to have met her, and I am so excited to learn
her name.
I gaze into her eyes and say, “What is your name mate?”
She smiles back at me and said, “My name is Erin Williams, What is your name mate?”
“Dixon Morris from the Stone Moon pack,” I told her.
I see the surprise on her face, and she takes a small step back. “What is the matter mate?” I asked her.
“I am scared that you might not want me, I come from the Howling Wolf pack, my father is the acting Alpha there, Marcus
Williams, Erin said to me.
“Wait, you are Calvin’s sister?” I asked her.
“You know my brother Calvin?” Erin said to me.
“Yes, very well actually, he is Gamma now
“Yes, dad told us what happened. He was extremely disappointed in Calvin, for rejecting his mate. Mates are important, and
rejection is not to be taken lightly” Erin told me, and I nodded in agreement. She is still looking scared that I will reject her.
“I am not going to reject you, Erin, I already love you and I will not lose you. You are important to me, and I hope you know that I want to kiss you senseless right now I told her, and she stepped forward to me again and tipped her face up to mine.
at Dark Moon. He helped us be able to keep my sister–in–law safe” I told her.
“Go ahead, Dixon. I would love to accept you right now” Erin said, and I leaned in to get my kiss when a blaring alarm sounded from directly behind me, and I swung around to look for Sabrina. I run across to the store, but I do not see Sabrina, just a scared salesperson hiding behind the desk.
“Did you see a really pretty brunette in here? Do you know where she went?” I asked her. She points to the back of the store, and run to the door I see still slightly ajar and run out to look around, but all I see is a dark–colored SUV turning the corner onto the main road at a high rate of speed. I couldn’t see the tag, and it is my fault that my sister has been taken. I go to turn around and
bump right into Erin who was looking at me with a frown.
“What is wrong? How can I help you, Dixon?” Erin asks me, and I shake my head.
“There is nothing for any of us to do now, except tell the werewolf council that Nico has taken my sister,” I said, and then I wrapped her in a quick hug before we re–entered the mall. I mindlinked dad and Asher who are both furious with me and headed
to us right now.
“Can you tell me what happened?” I asked the salesperson, I see Asher and dad running into the store followed by mom and Jade. “I saw two men walk up to her, she looked at the one in front of her, and he smiled at her before the man behind her hit her over the head and knocked her out. She never saw the second man, and the man in front of her just picked her up and walked into the back. He waited for about a minute before he pushed on the door, which set the alarm off. I saw what they did from across the store, and I was scared that they would hurt me too, so I hid, I am sorry” the salesperson said.
“Dixon why weren’t you with her, to keep her safe?” my dad asked me. I have no excuse and look down at the floor. Anything that happens to Sabrina from now until we find her is on me. I am ashamed that she got taken on my watch, I would have defended her with my life, but I got distracted.
“I met my mate,” I said in a low tone, and everyone suddenly looks at Erin, who I have held tightly to my side. “I am so happy for you Dixon, this was not your fault. This was Nico’s fault. We should have brought Braxton and Mason out with us, I didn’t know how he could have known that we were leaving our packland today” my father said and gripped my shoulder to comfort me. I know he and Asher were just upset, hell, I am upset too. Sabrina was my responsibility and I messed up. I should have taken my mate immediately to Sabrina for her to meet, and we could have all stayed together.
“Erin Williams? Is that you?” Jade asks her and comes to give her a hug. I see Erin hug her back and Asher looked at me questioningly. I told him, “She is Calvin William’s younger sister Asher seemed surprised and looked at her as she turned around, and he nodded seeing her soft brown eyes, just like her brother.
“I already know where to start my investigation. Please excuse me Asher said and stepped away from the group. My mother steps up and introduces herself and said, “Welcome to our family and then took Erin into a hug. Erin smiles and hugs her back.
“I called the werewolf council and told them what just happened. They are sending a representative to Golden Summit right now, and we will be meeting them there” my dad said as he stepped up to the group
“I can go with you and Asher, dad, I feel terrible about this. I had no way of knowing that she would be taken like that, none of us even knew we were leaving the packlands today, I don’t know how Nico could have found out” I told dad.
“I do, I had an appointment with another Alpha today, and I canceled it this morning so we could do this spur of the moment, so Nico wouldn’t be able to find out, but I just called Alpha Henry, and he said that he was speaking to Alpha Nico, after our conversation and happened to let it slip that I had canceled today to go out with my family. It literally dropped Bree, into his lap Dixon, dad, and I will contact Mason and Braxton to gather up some warriors and come to Golden Summit, I need you to take mom and Jade back to Stone Moon safely. This was not on you, Dixon, it is on me. I messed up, and I should have just rescheduled, but I was so proud of my pup, that I gave out information I shouldn’t have. I had no way of knowing that they would talk to each other today, so this is on me. I am sorry for yelling at your Asher said to me.
I feel even worse knowing how upset he and dad are over this. I am sick as well as I know he won’t have her in his pack. He has
had two months to come up with a plan, and I know he has one. We very well may have to go to war to get my sister back,
“I can help Asher, Mom and Jade should be safe to go back home alone,” I said to them.
“No Dixon, take your mate, mom, and Jade back in the SUV. Asher is right, we cannot allow anything to happen to them, and Jade is pregnant with the heir to Stone Moon. Please keep them all safe. I will mindlink you when we are headed back home” my
father told me, and I nodded.
“Did you drive here Erin? Or did you come with someone else?” I asked her,
“I came with my dad, we met here to see Calvin, and this was the halfway point between our packs basically,” Erin tells us.
“Calvin is here?” Jade asked Erin, and Erin nodded to her.
We followed Erin back to the food court where Calvin and his father were sitting and talking. Calvin saw us coming towards him
and got up along with his father to greet us.
“Dad, Calvin, I would like you to meet my mate, Dixon,” Erin tells them with a big grin on her face. I am so glad that she is happy
and proud to be my mate and I hugged her again.
Calvin comes over and gives me a hug, and said, “It’s a good thing I already know you are a good man, so I don’t have to threaten you right now to take care of my sister”
“You know him, Calvin?” Marcus said.
“I do, he is Asher Morris’s younger brother, and he is a good guy. You just didn’t meet him as he had stayed behind to guard Jade while we went to war against Howling Wolf, dad. But Dixon is a good man. He will take care of Erin, with his life. I am glad that he
is her mate” Calvin told him
“What are you all doing here?” Marcus asked.
“We came to pick out furniture for the baby’s room, but Sabrina was kidnapped from the mall, and I need to take them back to Stone Moon to be safe. I wanted to find you to see if it is OK if I take Erin too? I need to get them back quickly I told them.
“We will follow you back, and then you can fill us in on what is going on when we get there. I will mindlink Tyler and Tate to help as well. I am sure they will be glad to come and help as well” Calvin said, and we all headed for the exit. Calvin, and Marcus, both followed us home. We will need all the help that we can get in this.
