Nico’s POV
Sabrina is angry, which is to be understood in the situation. She figured out quickly I was watching her. I could watch her all day.
she moves very smoothly and I cannot wait to get to visit her and see if I can’t get her to bend some to my will and accept me as her mate and allow me to mate with her. Thear a knock at my door, and I close down my computer after logging out of the camera in her room. I have the only code to be able to watch her, and I was so glad that she was up and about and looking so cute in the clothes that I had picked out, especially for her to wear
I buzzed the door open and let them enter, Great, it is Shelby. “What in the hell were you thinking Nico?” Shelby yells at me, and she is pissed. “Why are you bothering me, Shelby?” I will be up in a little bit. I just have a little more paperwork to do, as I was out today” I tell her.

“They will wait on the war end of it. They just want her back. While I have her, we are all still safe, they know she isn’t here, but
won’t put her in more danger by waging war on us. If they kill me, she dies. No one else knows where she is. They will hold off, I know it, and they know it as well. Asher knows me and he won’t take the risk, he is very calculated, and he learned from me. He knows that I will have her in a safe place, but one she can’t escape from. I will eventually let them have her, but not yet” I tell her.
“How long will you keep her? They are already furious. I know they care enough to actually wage war against us, and I will not let you take me down with you. I won’t take the risk of being killed because you want your little mate so much. Start thinking smart Nico, or I swear to you, I will take your pack over. Do you want to lose it? Or are you going to act right? I will not be a part of this

Because if it ever becomes a reality, then whatever I do, to punish you, will be on you, and not me Nico, you made the deal” Shelby yells at me, and I cannot believe how vile she is. She has never cared for me at all, other than for what I do for her, and how I make her feel. I wish that I had never met her. She is a disgusting person, and I need to talk to Sabrina and go her route, as I will need help to protect my people.
I heard the door slam closed and I am glad to be alone, but I am not, Shelby closed it, locked it, and is now taking her clothes off. She comes around to my side of the desk and lays across it, with her thighs spread right in front of me. I remember how Sabrina told me that she feels it every time that Shelby and I are together, and I don’t want her to be hurting. I want her to trust me, but this won’t be the way for me to get her to trust me, as she will be feeling this.
Shelby leans up on her elbows and gives me a smirk. “You know what I want and need Nico. You need to give me my o****m, just like we do every night. I know you don’t want to, but you will just have to get over it. It isn’t my fault you found your little mate, but you will be taking care of me. But now that I know the kind of pain it
brings Sabrina, I cannot do it.
Shelby leans up on her elbows again, and said, “So are we done here? Do you want to go ahead and pack up and leave now? it really is up to you, I could have you replaced tonight if I wanted to, but just remember it is you choosing your mate over your pack. What is your choice, Nico?”
I reach out and push her back down onto my desk, and then get on my knees in front of her, she has won this round. I will explain it to Sabrina. I will try to get this over as quickly as I can. her take that memory away from me. Shelby frowns at me, and said, “we will discuss that later, Nico. I will see you in bed.” She
then puts her dress and underwear back on and leaves my office.
I quickly turn on the monitor and pull Sabrina back up, and what I see breaks my heart. She is curled into a little ball, facing away from the camera, but I can tell that she is silently crying at the betrayal. I would call her and explain, but she doesn’t have the
phone back on the cradle, it is still sitting on the nightstand, and I think the pain would be too fresh for her to talk to me right now
anyway.
I sit back down in my chair and look at the ceiling for a minute before looking back at the monitor. Sabrina is now calming down
and she covers herself with the comforter and keeps her back to the camera. I hope she stopped crying because knowing she was crying was breaking my heart. I do love her, and I do want her, I just can’t seem to figure out a way to have Sabrina and
protect my pack. Maybe I should accept her rejection and let her go back to her pack. Before the thought is even complete in my mind, I shoot it down. I will have Jaden tell her that Shelby threatened my pack, and I had to sleep with her, she is my mate, and she will accept that, hopefully, as it is the truth. I know in my heart that she won’t, as I would be furious if she cheated on me because it was almost the whole reason I wanted her with me, to keep the other unmated males away from her, especially while
she was in heat.
s**t, her heat, if it was coming every three weeks or so, then she will be on her heat again in the next few days, and I will
definitely need to be there for that. I trust Jaden, but this is my mate coming into her heat. I don’t want any unmated males around her. Her heat can also help me get with her as well, she won’t be able to help herself as her body will override what she is telling her brain.
They get their heat to encourage us to have pups, and her heat will be something that can soften her heart towards me, and I will just have Jaden be on the lookout for it, and I will watch the camera for signs of it as well. I will be with her for her heat, I will be the only thing to provide her comfort in it, and she will be glad for the relief that I provide her. I am hard again just thinking about it, and I literally came 5 minutes ago. I will go take a shower and work this problem out on my own, as I cannot sleep with Shelby again tonight. Sabrina wouldn’t be able to take it, and really, I don’t ever want to touch Shelby again. I just want my beautiful mate in my arms
