Chapter 15
Bree’s POV
That lying son of a b***h. I really thought after he knew how badly it hurt me to feel his betrayal, that he would stop. But he didn’t, I felt the pain, and although it was over fairly quickly, it still hurt me so much. He just told me that he wouldn’t hurt me again, and literally does it to me again within 30 minutes of us talking on the phone. I know she may have forced his hand, but i would rather be with my family, in my pain, than locked up here, alone, with nothing but the silence around me. I am not eating, I just don’t care enough to do it, as I am just not hungry at all. If I am not going to be returned to my family, then I have nothing else to look forward to. The only thing that I have been receiving from Nico is pain, so I am just waiting for the next time he hurts me again because he didn’t accept my rejection. I don’t have any hope for a good life in me anymore.
Nico had crushed me completely with his lies and acting like his hands are tied, but he could get his people safe in other packs. and we could be together at Stone Moon. He literally said that he would give up his pack for me, that he loved me, and then started backpedaling, and then the cherry on top, was him sleeping with Shelby again. I can’t believe a word out of his mouth. He has shown me over and over that what he says, and what he does, are two completely different things. I told him that I could help him get it done, but he doesn’t want my help, or he is just feeding me what I want to hear to keep stringing me along.
I hate them both and I just don’t care about anything, anymore. I can only pray to the Moon Goddess to save me from my prison. hope my family is looking for me right now. I am sure they are, as Nico said that dad punched him, so I know that they are trying their best to get me back. I only want my family around me, I know now that I can only depend on my family to love and take care of me. Goddess, why won’t you make him release me? What had I done to deserve this kind of punishment and pain? I feel like I am being watched and I look towards the camera and see it move. If it is the last thing I do here, I will find something to knock it out of the ceiling. My prison is all for him, he still gets me separated from all my loved ones, and he can be a p*****t and watch me whenever he wants to. I turn away from the camera so all he can see is my back. I will not grace him with seeing the pain |

I see the old phone receiver laying on the desk, and I know if I were to hang it up, that he would call me immediately, but I am not in the mood to hear him keep lying to me like I am stupid. I am stupid apparently because I fell for it, everything that he said to me, I believed. Stupid mate bond. I look up to the sky and tell the Moon Goddess, “You can keep your bond. There has been nothing good to come out of it for me in this, only pain.”
I am jealous of those that find their mates, and everything is perfect from the start, and I wonder, why I didn’t rate that happening to me too? Why am I deserving of everything that I am currently being put through? How much worse can this get for me? Oh, no, I sit straighter and I start to count, oh no, please Goddess, no. Please do not let me go into heat while Nico still has me, I won’t be able to resist his pull. This is horrible, if my math is right, I am about to go into heat, and I already know that he will be right here to take full advantage of it, and I won’t be able to resist him. s**t, I need to take care of that camera right now, I cannot let him see when it starts. Due to me being taken I know that my brothers and father are working right now with the pack to get me back. I just need to hold on.
I get up and go into the bathroom and look around. I wish I had a lead pipe laying around, but they wouldn’t be dumb enough to give me a weapon, I cannot use my wolf because it is right in the corner, and I would crash into the wall trying to take the camera out. Think, Bree, think, I don’t need to destroy it, I just need to keep him from being able to use it to watch me. I go to the shower and look at what I have available. I grab the body wash and squeeze some of it onto my hand, it is thick, and I know this will work. I stand underneath the camera and jump up to smear the first smudge of body wash onto the lens, I get a little more on my fingers and repeat my jump until the lens is completely covered. I go wash my hands and I feel better. It is a small thing, but I refuse to be stared at against my will. I cannot control much here, but at least I can control this. I go and sit back down on the bed, I look out the window and it is still daylight, and I feel like it is around noon. I am bored out of my mind.
Theard a noise at the door about 20 minutes later and I look over to it to see the slot open and a bag of food being placed on the ledge that was at the opening. I don’t know the man at the door, he was a large man, with blonde hair and blue eyes. I saw him when he bent down to look into my room to check on me after the bag didn’t move from the ledge
I don’t get up, I stay sitting on the bed, and I look back at him. I am not angry with him, I am angry at Nico. This man is probably his Beta or Gamma, and just following Nico’s orders.
“Are you OK?” he asked me in a deep voice.
“Does it matter?” I told him.

“I only want to make sure that you are feeling, OK? Are you not hungry? I went through a lot to be able to bring you food today. There were a lot of people trying to follow me, if I hadn’t lost them, it would have been tomorrow before I could have shown up to feed you. I just want to make sure that you are taken care of. I don’t mean you any harm” he told me.
“I want to go home. I don’t want to be here. Nico is not my mate anymore. He made his choice and picked a human to be his mate. I am not hungry, and I don’t want to be here anymore. I want to go see my family I told him.
“I am sorry miss, that I can’t do anything about it. I am only to feed you and protect you if any of Shelby’s men show up here to try to get you. Nico told me that she is having her men looking for you and her plans for you are not good at all. I will protect you at all costs miss, you are Nico’s mate, and therefore the rightful Luna of Golden Summit. As the Beta, it is my job to make sure you
are safe from harm, but I cannot let you out of this room until Nico tells me to let you go he tells me and I see concern for me in his eyes, and I know he is a good man, just following orders.
“What is it?” I asked him.
“I got you a turkey sandwich with lettuce, tomato, cucumber, and salt and pepper. I didn’t know if you wanted mayonnaise or mustard, so I got you a few packets of each in the bag. You can take off what you don’t like. If you tell me what you would like to eat, I will try to get you what you want. Nico sent money for us to get food with” he tells me in a kind tone.
“Do you know when I will be released to go home to my family?” I asked him.
I see his face soften and smile at me, “I do not know miss, I know that Shelby has been angry since Nico found you,
u, and she is not a good person. She knew that he had been going to visit you at Stone Moon and since he had been growing more possessive and worried about you about you lately, he knew that you weren’t safe unless you were hidden. I believe that he was correct
about it too.”
I get up and come to the door to get my sandwich and go back to sit on the bed. “Um, you didn’t hurt my brother Dixon, did you?” I asked him as I put my bag down on the bed.
“I was in the SUV, but from what I heard your brother was just fine, he didn’t see you get taken because he met his true mate while he was just outside the store you were in” he told me, and I am happy for Dixon. I hope he got a good mate. After my experience, I just don’t know, it truly is a tossup. Jade went through a lot of bad as well, before things got better for her too.
“Are you not going to eat miss?” he asked me.
“My name is Sabrina, please don’t call me miss. I don’t think you are that much older than me. I am 18” I told him.
“Thank you, Sabrina,” he said to me. “My name is Jaden, and I will do my best to make sure you are protected while you are here.”
“Thank you for my sandwich, Jaden. I will eat it later, I am upset, and frankly just not hungry right now” I told him, and he smiled gently at me and nodded.
“I will leave the sliding part open for you to call me if you need anything, Sabrina. Just call out for me and I will come up to help you. I will protect you while you are here” Jaden tells me before turning and heading for the stairs.
I sit on the bed and watch as the light goes away in the room as the sun eventually sets. I had put my sandwich up in the fridge to eat when I got hungry, but I am still not hungry. I lay back and look at the ceiling. I don’t feel well, and I am not hungry at all. I wish I had some medicine as my head is starting to hurt, s**t, I think my heat is starting a little early and I go running into the bathroom to run a cold bath to soak in. This is the very worst time for me to go into heat. I don’t want to allow the bond to cause me to do something I am sure that I will reget later.
