Travis’s POV
We are headed to Stone Moon to help Asher’s family. Tyler and Tate both told me that Sabrina had been taken and filled me in on what they knew was going on as we headed to Stone Moon, to help them out. This is going to be a short trip as we are only bringing in two SUVs with us three, plus the Lead sharpshooter in our SUV, and our duffle bags, and five more sharpshooters in the next SUV with their duffle bags and weapons
I have only left the pack twice since June, once when I went to Lake Havasu for us to have some downtime. I went there with Tyler and Tate and a few other unmated males as we are all actively looking for our mates. I found mine and she was the most beautiful woman that I have ever seen in my life. Her name was Katie Arnold, and she was the Beta’s daughter from a pack in CA, on the northeastern border. She was gorgeous to me, and we met on the Sandbar while walking around. She had long blond hair and hazel eyes. I have never been happier than when I was with my mate, and that night we made love in my room. It was perfect, everything about her was perfect, and I couldn’t wait to bring her home to Dark Moon and start our family.
I woke up to her getting dressed at 4 am and I asked her where she was going. Usually, the females leave their packs and come to the male’s pack, especially if you are a ranked wolf. I should never have asked, as the answer she gave me broke my heart in
“Look, this was fun, and you are great in bed, but I am already a Beta. If you were an Alpha, I would stay with you as I do enjoy being with you, but I already agreed to be the chosen mate of my Alpha, he lost his mate in a rogue attack last year. I started comforting him and well, one thing led to another. I was just doing this one final trip to have fun before I had to go back and plan my Luna ceremony. I am already pregnant with his child. I am sorry to do this to you but, I Katie Arnold, soon–to–be Luna of the Shadow Soul pack, reject you, Travis Young, Beta of the Dark Moon pack as my true mate” Katie told me, and I feel terrible as my chest is filled with immense pain, and she just misses a step as she headed to the door, and looks back once at me, in sympathy.

I couldn’t get up for about 5 minutes as the pain was crushing my heart as if she had just stepped on it when she left. The next
morning Tyler asked me where she went, and I couldn’t stop the lone tear from coming out of my eye before I told them what had happened. It really affected the trip and we just ended up packing up and coming back to Dark Moon. I had made excuses for all the offers of going into town or going to do something fun, as I just couldn’t do it. I didn’t care anymore, and I wasn’t going
to play like I did care. I stopped smiling and being the smooth talker that I used to be, nothing mattered to me anymore after
losing my mate.
After hearing what happened to Sabrina, I really felt for her as I could understand her pain. I had to make a special trip to
Shadow Soul last week with Tyler and Tate, for me to accept her rejection at the gate. When I accepted her rejection, she then crumbled to the ground, as I had done, and I saw the tears in her eyes when she whispered, “I’m sorry Travis” didn’t help. It wasn’t going to make me feel better that she was just as affected by this as I was. It didn’t matter because she decided that she would rather be a Luna than be the Beta female and be with me, her true mate. She made her choice and her wanting to have wealth
and position, rather than have her true love was the wrong choice to make, but it was the choice she made.
We approach the gates at Stone Moon and get cleared through their guards, who knew that we were coming. I am glad to have
arrived here and look forward to seeing my friends soon. We pull up to the parking area near the pack house and grab our bags
to take with us to our rooms. It is almost 5 and I missed lunch, so I am ready for dinner after I put my bag in my room. I am also looking forward to seeing Jade, as she is pregnant, and I want to give her a hug and congratulate her and Asher, as I am really happy for them both.
I follow Tyler and Tate into the lobby, and I heard a squeal and see Jade coming in towards us at a high rate of speed and Tyler catching her and spinning her around. Jade gives him a big hug and then repeats with Tate to hug both of her brothers first before she comes to me and gives me a big hug too. Jade is a good friend, and I appreciate the hug, as I am sure the guys told her what happened, and I really don’t want to talk about it. I see Asher walking up as he didn’t run up to us like Jade did, and he had shaken hands with hey guys before he came to shake my hand.
“I wanted to thank you all for coming to help us get my sister back. We will explain everything to you all at dinner tonight. We need to get a plan together to try to find out where she is being held, as she is not in his pack. But I will say time is of the

rooms on the Beta floor.
“We love Bree, she is our friend, and it is our pleasure to come and help in any way that we can. We packed for a week and will be glad to help you and her out anytime. Just tell us what you need from us, and we will get it done” Tyler told them, and Tate and I nod in agreement. Bree was always really nice, and I feel terrible that she is being held against her will. No one deserves that. I am sure we will be able to work together to find out where she is.
We all head up to drop off our bags and come back down to meet back in the dining room. We will be eating in their meeting room as they didn’t what to be overheard in the dining room by the pack members, as rumors spread quickly in the packhouse, unfortunately. The room had been set up with drinks on a table on one wall and three tables in a row going down the other wall with heating trays set up with two different main dishes, four different sides, and a dessert table. Everyone grabbed a plate and
headed to the table to eat the main meal, and Asher said we would all talk while we eat dessert.
Asher got up and stood at the head of the table and relayed to us what had happened after the wedding, up until the point. We all were upset at the thought of Nico abusing the mate bond and marking Bree, as they would be bound together forever, until
death, if he did that. If he didn’t get rid of his human Luna, then Bree would be condemned to a life of pain and sorrow, and she didn’t deserve that. I know we all prayed to the Goddess right then that her heat would hold out until we could find her and save her. Now I know why we needed to get to her quickly, as Calvin had let us know 2 days ago when she had been taken at the mall.
We all had meetings, paperwork, and things to get done so we could free up a week’s worth of time to be able to stay here for at
least a week to help them out.
We grabbed some dessert, and each tried to come up with a plan to be able to figure out how to get Bree back. I looked across
the table at Dixon and his mate Erin, they seemed blissfully in love, and I am really happy for them when I heard Dixon tell her
that “it is a clever idea, & it is worth looking into” before telling her that she should share it with the group.
Dixon stands up and pulls Erin up with him, and puts his arm around her, and the level of talking goes down. Dixon then tells Erin,
“Go ahead and tell them what you said to me, Erin. That was a great idea“.
“I was just thinking that Nico wouldn’t put where he is holding her in his name, he would use his parent’s names, or even his Beta,
or Gamma’s name. He had two months to prepare for this, so I think we just need to check the records of houses sold in the last
three months. He would have probably started it after he met Bree, but he can’t put her in a condo, she might alert someone that
she had been taken. I think houses would be the place to start our search, we just need someone to look it up, in the system. If
we don’t see anything in the recent months, we can go back and see if his parents owned a house and try that as well, as well as
his father’s Beta and Gammas names” Erin said, and then sits back down quickly. Dixon holds his hand out and hold’s her hand, and gives her a smile.
“That was a great idea, and I think Erin is correct, he can’t keep her in an apartment, or a condo. People tend to notice you taking
people in and out, especially if they are tied up, but with a house, once you close the garage door, you are golden” Asher said.
“That is an excellent idea, Erin. I agree we need to start there and while it is being run, maybe they should start at homes sold in
a rural area, or with a little land, as that makes it more secluded, and less noticeable to hold someone” Andrew Morris said.
“I have a friend that is a realtor, and she can look into it, on her end. I also have a friend at the county clerk’s office too. So, we
can cover many bases with this. I just need the names that he could have put it under, and we can check for his name too, as it shouldn’t take very long at all to check for 5 names I will go and contact them both right now. Thank you so much, Erin!!” Monica Morris said and left the room to go make the calls.
“If they can’t get the answers, I know dad has friends in the Assessor’s Officer who can also look it up for us, if he can’t see it. then he may be able to reach out to the local Assessor here to check into it. If you give me the list of names, I can send it to him to ask, if we don’t hear back in the next 24 hours with the first calls working out” Tyler told them, and Tate nodded. It seems like we may be getting somewhere now, I hope we can find her in time.
