“No.” Due to the intense pain, Nathan’s voice came out even more subdued, carrying a hint of hoarseness.
Olivia couldn’t help but let out a bitter smile. There was really no need for her to ask. Considering the way he neglects his own health, how could there possibly be any medicine here?
“In that case, I’ll go get you some hot water.”
Subsequently, she rose and headed toward the dining room.
Nathan slowly opened his eyes, his gaze settling on the figure in the dining room. His gaze was deep and thoughtful.
Olivia carefully poured some hot water, then turned around and walked toward the living room.
The moment she turned around, Nathan quickly shut his eyes.
Olivia moved to his side, gently suggesting, “Have some water to warm your stomach. It’ll make you feel better.”
Upon hearing her, Nathan opened his eyes and glanced at her. He accepted the water she offered and obediently drank it all.
He was unsure if it was psychological, but when the warm water flowed into the stomach, the previously intense pain surprisingly appeared to ease.
Olivia placed the cup on the coffee table, then gently helped him lie down.
Throughout the episode, she wore a cold expression, while he watched her in silence.
Olivia unexpectedly found herself staring into his deep, dark eyes. Her heart tightened slightly, and she quickly averted her gaze. Speaking in a cold and distant tone, she said, “Don’t get the wrong idea. I only stayed because you were sick, and you can rest assured that I have no ulterior motives toward you.”
When he heard the remark, a hint of amusement flickered in Nathan’s eyes.
Once he had settled down, Olivia fetched a blanket from the room and gently draped it over him.
“Get some rest.”
After saying those words, Olivia got up and left.
She’s leaving?
Nathan watched her leave without persuading her to stay.
He merely watched as she closed the door, his gaze growing colder as she did.
A faint smile, tinged with both mockery and bitterness, spread across his lips.
He actually thought she would take care of him like she used to.
Roughly fifteen minutes later, the room door was opened from the outside.

When he noticed the bag she was carrying in her hand, his eyebrow cocked slightly. She had gone to buy medicine for him.
Olivia walked over and settled down on the couch, retrieving several boxes of medicine from the bag.
These were the medicines that Nathan used to take, readily available at any pharmacy.
Nathan’s gaze fell upon the medicine on the table, complex emotions surfacing in his eyes.
“Take some medicine.”
Olivia carefully poured some water, skillfully preparing a specific amount of medicine for him to take.
The atmosphere was somewhat quiet, and Olivia’s emotions were quite complicated.
She thought that after being apart from Nathan for so long, they would have forgotten everything about each other.
However, the evening made her realize that many things and habits were so deeply ingrained within her that it was impossible to forget.
Olivia took a deep breath, suppressing the turmoil within her heart. She turned to look at Nathan, her voice cold and detached, “Since you know your stomach is weak, you should stop drinking so much.”
Her tone sounded impassive, devoid of any hint of concern.
Nathan seemingly chuckled as he lifted his gaze. Staring deeply at her, he asked, “Are you showing concern for me?”
“No!” Olivia quickly denied it and proceeded to explain, “I was just reminding you. I can’t bear to see someone wrecking their own body like this.”
A smirk played at the corners of Nathan’s mouth, but he didn’t say anything more.
Unsure if it was the medicine gradually taking effect or her company, the stomach pain slowly subsided.
Seeing that his complexion had greatly improved, Olivia let out a silent sigh of relief. She then stood up, saying, “I’m leaving now.”
