When Stacey heard about what was happening, she rushed into the conference to lodge a complaint.
Seeing the two of them quarreling in the conference room, exposing each other’s secrets, I could not help but smile as I watched from outside.
No one had my back in my past life. I had nowhere to go and no way out because of how I was treated.
After Stacey took over my position, she made a lot of ridiculous statements online and
slandered me as much as she could. I was attacked by all parties, so much so that I did not dare- even step out of my house.
I eventually found a lawyer and wanted to ask my colleagues in the office to testify for me. However, Stacey manipulated the stories and cut off all my hopes.
She had also contributed to my death.
When Trevor and the others came out from the conference room later, their expressions looked horrible.
The company announced that both of them were fired.

Trevor deserved it. After all, he appointed people based on personal connections. Not only did he fail the performance assessment, but he also took kickbacks in private.
Stacey was also incompetent. There was no plan to renew her contract when it expired, but they did not have to wait till the expiry of the contract anymore.
Both of them were booted out of the company.

Stacey, spotting the smile on my face, rushed to me angrily. “Satisfied, Jessica?”
I nodded. “Yep. I am happy to see you in trouble.
She was furious. “You’re downright despicable!”
I shrugged: “Think about what’ll happen to you in the future. I guess that family will be hot on your heels.”
Stacey was stunned. “No, it has nothing to do with me. I’m innocent!”
“You’re so naive. They’re not reasonable people. I forgot to tell you that Trevor is their relative. Do you think they’ll let this matter go easily?”
Stacey was desperate at that moment. She turned and looked at Trevor who stood in front of her. She snorted and left immediately.
I knew that the matter would not end so quickly, but I never expected that Stacey would choose to let go of him.
