Jenson’s expression stiffened up. “Suzanne, you”
His gaze toward her was filled with disappointment. He had hoped she would change, but to his surprise, she remained the same
When Seline called him that day, claiming that Suzanne was impersonating lane, he didn’t believe her. But after some investigations, he found that Alan had indeed suffered an episode that night and reverted to his previous state of wanting to drink blood.
The Alvarez family was now desperately seelding medical help for him.
It turned out Suzanne actually did soch a despicable thing!
What Jenson didn’t know was that the Alvarez family didn’t want their enemies to discover what had happened, and Suzanne didn’t want him to interfere either. She and the Alvarez family had worked together to leak that information.
Jenson calmed himself down. He looked at Suzanne coldly, saying, “In that case, don’t over contact me again!”
Suzanne let out a decisive snort and turned to leave
Jenson frowned, standing still as he watched her retreating figure. He thought Suzanne would feel threatened, but instead….
He clenched his hands into fists before relaxing them, only to tighten them again
However, in the next moment, a sarcastle look flashed through his eyes.
This was nothing more than Suzanne’s way of playing hard to get. In a few days, she would come crawling back.
When had she been any different?
When Suzanne renamed back to the private room, she saw Shane pairing Marvin’s shoulder and charting happily. She raised her brows slightly. It seemed the compensation had likely been agreed upon.
She walked forward and sat back in her original spot. Marvin immediately stood up and approached her. He wore a smile as he cautiously asked, “Dr. Smith, when do you think you can go over?”
He placed his hands together on his belly and nervously rubbed them together. His nervousness and urgency were obvious. He was clearly eager to have Suzanne follow him now.
Suzanne took a small sip of tea from her teacup and set it down before calmly replying. “There’s no rush.”
Marvin paused in his movements, and he felt even more anxious. His son’s constitution had tormented their family for so long. Even his son and daughter–in–law’s marriage had greatly suffered because of it. How could be not be in anush?
Suzanne looked up at him and gently reassured him, “Being anxious won’t help. I still need to prepare a few things first.”
Marvin’s impatience subsided slightly after hearing what she said. He looked at Suzanne and cautiously asked, “Then, when exactly
Before he could finish, Suzanne interrupted ham, “Three days from now.”
She stood up and glanced at Marvin again. T’ll have Shane contact you. Please be patient.”
Suzanne understood his urgency, but this wasn’t something that could be rushed. They had to make the proper preparations and take things step by step.
Shane also stood up and walked over. He patted Marvin’s shoulder with a smile and reassured him, “Mr. Guerra, don’t be anxious! These things take time. If Jane says it can be cured, then it definitely will be!!!
Shane’s confidence helped case Marvin’s andety a little
Shane nodded. He then lowered his head slightly at Suzanne and sincerely said, “Then I’ll have to trouble you, Dr. Smith.”
As long as his son’s condition could be cured, waiting three more days was nothing. After all, they had already waited this long
Shane placed the cigarette Marvin had given him previously behind his war and smiled while replying, ‘It’s no trouble at all.”
He waved at Marvin, then went toward the door. He looked at Suzanne and said, “Then, let us leave first!”
Suzanne nodded slightly, and then the two of them left the private room.
Marvin quickly chased after them from behind. “Dr. Smith, Mr. Doyle, take care.”
Many of the people in the hotel’s lobby turned around and looked over, puzzled about what the young woman’s status was that Marvin would treat her with such respect.
