Susanna, who had been waiting nearby for a long time, finally approached him. Glancing at the time, she walked up to Simon with the gift box labeled “Second Wedding Gift“.

this gift box now?”
Simon hurriedly took the gift box. As he was about to open it, he noticed the bold words written on it. It read, “Second Wedding Gift.”
His handsome face darkened as his tone grew cold. “Why does it say ‘Second Wedding Gift‘? Did you bring the wrong box?”
Susanna shook her head, looking at Simon. “Mr. Fulmer, I didn’t make a mistake. This is the gift box Mrs. Fulmer passed to me.”
Simon felt a foreboding sense of unease surge through him. Frowning, he handed the gift box back to Susanna. Then, he took two steps back as if the box were some kind of plague.
Immediately, he called Jeremy Gallows, the butler at the villa, to ask about Luna’s whereabouts.
“Did Lulu leave? Bring her over to the birthday party.”
Standing on the villa’s first floor, Jeremy cautiously replied, “Sir, Mrs. Fulmer left six hours. ago with a suitcase.”
Simon’s heart jolted, his pupils shrinking as his chest tightened and his pulse raced.
“What did you say? Where could she have gone with a suitcase? Why didn’t you inform me earlier?”
Jeremy’s voice on the other end of the line was filled with helplessness. “Mrs. Fulmer said some parting words before she left. She thanked us for our efforts over the past five years and even gave each of us a 5,000–dollar bonus. Sir, she specifically instructed us not to inform you about her departure…”
Simon’s head throbbed painfully as though something inside his heart was being forcibly ripped away, leaving him in unbearable discomfort. Even though he wanted to rush back to the villa, he couldn’t leave because of the ongoing birthday banquet.
“Go to the master bedroom now. Check the first drawer on the left–hand side of the bedside. table. Are Lulu’s documents still there?” he urged.
Jeremy quickly went upstairs and opened the drawer Simon had mentioned.
After carefully checking, he nervously reported, Sir, only your documents are here. Mrs. Fulmer’s ID, passport, and driver’s license are all gone. Also, after you left at noon, Mrs. Fulmer instructed others to move all her belongings out. From what she said, she intends to donate everything to a welfare center.”
Simon was momentarily dazed. His hand holding the phone trembled violently, and a fleeting shadow of unease, perhaps even fear, crossed his dark eyes.

That was impossible!
Simon ended the call and, unwilling to give up, opened WhatsApp to send Luna a message.
“Lulu, didn’t we agree to spend your birthday together? Please don’t be mad. Where are you? I’ll come pick you up.”
As soon as he hit send, there was only one grey tick on the screen.
Luna had blocked him.
Simon stared blankly at his phone. Still refusing to give in, he sent another message.
“Lulu?”
Once again, the chat window reminded him that he had been blocked.
Susanna, who had been standing silently nearby, watched Simon intently. She stepped forward, handing him the “Second Wedding Gift box again, and softly reminded him, “Mr. Fulmer, Mrs. Fulmer asked you to open the gift box. Her answer to your question is inside.”
