After tinkering with the vehicle for a while, the two men left the scene as quietly as they had arrived.
Once William Sr. exited the parking lot, he sent a message to Hunter.
“It’s done on my end.”
Hunter nodded in response. “The remaining payment has been transferred. If Luna is taken care of in one shot, the extra 500 thousand dollars will be sent to your account.”

“Thank you, Mr. Sacre.”
After work in the afternoon, cars in the parking lot slowly started to drive away.
Hunter hid inside his car, waiting until 7:30 pm when “Luna” finally walked toward the parking lot.
“Luna” got into the car, started the engine, and quickly drove toward her home.
Hunter quickly followed her in his car.
Inside the driver’s seat, “Luna” squinted as she glanced at the rearview mirror. She drove straight for a while until she reached a downhill road with very few cars, where she swiftly maneuvered the steering wheel.
The car skidded, spun in place three times, and then, without slowing down, crashed directly into a tree.
In an instant, the front of the car burst into flames.
Hunter smiled to himself as he achieved the desired result. He took out his phone, snapped a picture, and drove off nonchalantly.
Half an hour later, Flint and Maple rushed to the hospital, devastated. They released an obituary.
“We are deeply saddened to announce that our beloved daughter, Luna Baxter, passed away on December 20, 2024, at 8:07 pm, due to a car accident. She was 27 years old.
“She was a kind–hearted, loving, and vibrant person. Her laughter and love will forever
remain in our hearts.
“May our beloved daughter rest in peace in heaven. If there is an afterlife, we will be parent and daughter again.”
This obituary quickly spread, causing a stir among many.
At the villa in Lake City, Sophie stared at the screenshot of the obituary Hunter had sent and began pacing excitedly around the living room.
She nearly laughed maniacally as she muttered, “Finally, that obstacle is out of my way! “Oh, Luna, please don’t blame me. If you’re going to blame someone, blame yourself for getting in the way of my fortune!”
Meanwhile, Simon was in a late–night meeting at his office when he received the news.
His phone suddenly vibrated, and he picked it up to look.
When he saw the obituary of Luna’s car accident, his eyes reddened with unshed tears. His tall body trembled violently.

It was as if something had been ripped from him. He screamed hysterically, “It’s impossible! This can’t be!”
How could his Luna be dead?
Luke, seeing Simon lose composure in front of all the executives for the first time, realized something was wrong and glanced at Simon’s screen.
Seeing the obituary, he paused for a few seconds before quickly sending the executives out.
“Mr. Fulmer, please accept my condolences.”
Simon’s eyes were bloodshot as he staggered to his feet, about to leave. Suddenly, his vision went dark, and he collapsed.
Luke hurriedly caught him.
“Mr. Fulmer! Someone, take Mr. Fulmer to the hospital!”
Simon opened his eyes again two hours later.
The first thing he did was take out his phone and look at the obituary once more. His lips. trembled as his body trembled, and he broke down crying.
“Lulu… I’m sorry… How could you leave me alone? How can I live without you?” Simon muttered to himself before looking at Luke with reddened eyes. “Book me the earliest flight to Naavi. I need to see her one last time.”
As he spoke, Sophie, who rushed to the hospital, stood frozen at the door of the ward.
