“I’m going to check with people at the studios. Hopefully, they didn’t take her in because of me.”
Harry had a grim expression on his face. “I own several art studios. She might be hiding in one of them.”
Ian snorted. “Let’s see how much longer she can hide from us. We need to find her and have her apologize to Lori!”
Will and Harry left right away.
Curiously, my soul remained beside Ian. Perhaps it was because he was located the

Chapter 5
Envy flashed in Lorelei’s eyes as she watched Will and Harry walk out of the room. She buried her face in Ian’s chest.
“Rebecca probably thinks that I’m still not good enough to be your sister. Maybe I should leave for now and come back when I can proudly call myself your sister. That way, Rebecca won’t bully me anymore, right?”
As she finished saying that, tears rolled down her face and fell onto Ian’s hand.

Ian wiped off Lorelei’s tears gently. His voice rang with concern and affection, Don’t worry, Lori. Once we find her, we’ll make her kneel and apologize to you. From now on, she won’t be able to bully you since you have us!”
Lorelei leaned against Ian’s chest. For a moment, she had a sly, contemptuous look in her eyes.
I was so annoyed looking at how fake Lorelei was that I tried to kick her. Unfortunately, I could not cause any actual damage to things in the real world.
Just then, Ian’s phone rang. The corners of his mouth lifted slightly. It appeared his men had found clues to my whereabouts. The worry that filled his heart dissipated a little.
“Mr. Ian, we haven’t found any new information regarding Ms. Rebecca for the last three days. She hasn’t made any financial transactions during this period, either.”
Ian froze. He was gripped by a sense of panic. He hurriedly said, “That’s impossible. There’s no way she hasn’t used any money in the last three days.
“Are you all doing your jobs properly? Did you even put in any serious effort to look for her? It’s only been a while since I’ve given you the task, and you’re already reporting to me now? Do your jobs properly and look for her. Do you hear me?”
Ian was like a wild lion in a frenzy of rage. His bellows reverberated through the living room.
The
person on the other end of the line stayed silent for a while.
Then, they said, “Mr. Ian, Ms. Rebecca doesn’t have any private bank accounts. All of her other bank accounts were pretty much emptied. Even the properties she owned had all been donated to the company back when it was facing a financial crisis.”
Ian’s heart missed a beat. With a plop, the phone he was holding fell onto the floor.
