grave and swung my legs. I thought it was pretty nice, and the location was good. I could see the ocean from here–I knew Ian knew what I liked.
He and Arthur lay on the ground once they were tired of fighting. Stars twinkled in the night sky. It was a beautiful sight.

Ian picked up a rock from the ground and threw it weakly at Arthur as he panted. Why did you have to show up here? Can’t you just let Leona rest in peace? You’re the person she hates most now. How could you be shameless enough to come here?”
Arthur wasn’t going to let him get away with that. He threw a rock at Ian, too. Then, he said stubbornly, “Like I said, Leona is my wife! She’s mine, even if she’s dead. Don’t think I don’t know about your dirty feelings for her!”
Ian barked out a derisive laugh. “We’re the dirty ones, huh? We’re not related by blood, nor were we ever involved with each other like you and Shawna were. Nothing ever happened between us, so stop insulting Leona!”
I didn’t know why, but Arthur’s words no longer bothered me. Maybe I was just used to him always being mean to me… or maybe I’d stopped caring about him.
He fell silent as he stared at the sky. Suddenly, tears streamed down his face. “Why do I keep doing these dumb things? Why am I not the one who died?”
