“Nash opened a restaurant on Duxton Road. I heard the business is average. Their love was truly touching back in the day; who could have predicted that it would end up like this?”

At the end of the reunion, Steve came to pick me up, which led to some jokes among our old classmates.
“Wendy, you didn’t bring your handsome boyfriend with you. Are you afraid we’ll steal him?”
“Yeah, Steve is the perfect match for Wendy.”
I waved my hand with a smile. “I’ve already paid the bill. Be safe on your way home.”
