Patrick’s eyes widened in realization.. Lora had an aunt who had settled abroad!
Hope surged within him again, and he quickly arranged for someone to check if Lora had left the country.
The news came back swiftly–Lora had gone abroad and had completed immigration procedures. Since her relocation had been official, no further information could be found beyond her destination in New Zealand.
At that moment, it became clear to Patrick that Lora truly wanted to leave him behind.
But he had failed her first, and it was all his

She had moved into a company dormitory, and just as her boss was preparing to travel to Europe for a business discussion, he invited her along to gain insight into the business process. She gladly accepted.
While in a European city, her aunt called

“Lora,” her aunt said, “Patrick just showed up at our door.”
“He didn’t return to England immediately. Instead, he’s staying in a hotel near us. It seems like he’s planning a long fight.”

Handing the phone to Lora, her boss said, “Lora, this person says he’s your good friend from England.”

“Patrick?”
