Wilbur’s knees went weak when he heard her. He cried uncontrollably, slapping himself repeatedly while begging her for forgiveness.
Annie only gave him an exhausted glance.
She eventually instructed her subordinates to strip both Karen and Wilbur naked and bind them together with a rope. Her subordinates then brought in a pickup truck and a loudspeaker to parade the two adulterers on the
streets.
There were many bystanders along the road. Some were even recording the chaos with their phones.
The pickup truck eventually stopped by the river.
Annie kicked Karen and Wilbur off the truck, her chest heaving with emotions. Her eyes were filled with hatred as she stared at them.
After that, she made a move, about to push the both of them into the river.
Karen was beyond frightened. “No! Please, I’m sorry! I’ll never show myself in front of you anymore, okay?”
Annie wasn’t about to stop. Just as she was about to touch them, I reached out to stop her. I shook my head and said, “It’s not worth it.”
It would be too easy to just let Karen off like that. I wanted her to suffer as she lived.
Annie stared at me numbly as tears gradually wetted her cheeks.
In the end, she took my advice and no longer tried to punish Karen. She gave Wilbur a hard kick before turning and walking away decisively.
Having survived the ordeal, Karen let out a relieved sigh. She happily said to Wilbur, “We’re safe now, Your wife will surely divorce you soon. Will you marry me when that happens?”

She looked at him lovingly, still a lovestruck fool until the end. However, Wilbur only glanced at her disdainfully. He spat, “Stop with your delusions, Karen. I got together with you just for the thrill of it. I’d be crazy to give up on
foolish my wealthy wife for you! Don’t bother coming to look for me; I don’t want to see you anymore, you woman!!!
After that, Wilbur hurriedly ran after Annie, who was long gone.
Karen’s rationality started to come back to her after her sudden heartbreak. Her face grew pale as she slowly recounted everything that happened today.
