“What did you say? You mean that Lesley had been lying to me about her infertility?” Drake asked in pure disbelief.
“Yep. She said that she didn’t want to give birth to your child. That’s why she lied to you,” I answered with a smile, not forgetting to drag Lesley down into this mess.
As expected, Lesley panicked when she heard what I said. She stammered and shook as she tried to explain to Drake.
“Wait, Drakey, don’t listen to her! Don’t listen to Janice! I’d never not want to give birth to your child!”
There was a loud, resounding slap.
“Then explain to me what the hell is going on!” Drake roared at her in anger,
“I… I’ve always been scared of pain since I was young. I just don’t dare to go through the pain of giving birth… That’s the only reason why I lied… But I love you! My feelings for you have always been sincere! Drakey, you have to believe me!”
Lesley began to cry, sobbing as she explained herself.
“Fuck off! Since you’re so afraid of pain and don’t want to give me a baby, then we’re getting a divorce!”
“No! No, I won’t do it! Oh, but last night… Last night, didn’t we… Maybe I’m already pregnant with your child! You just want a baby, don’t you? Maybe my mom also—”
Drake then slapped Lesley again and began shouting at her. “‘How would you know that the baby in your stomach was mine? Last night was such a huge mess. Maybe you’re pregnant with your own brother’s baby, for all I know!”
There was the sound of a couple more slaps as Drake continued roaring at her.
“But Drakey,” Lesley cried. “It has to be yours! It can’t be anybody else’s!”
Their loud shouting and screaming at each other kept continuing, and I could feel my ears about to shatter from the incessant noise.
I didn’t want to bother about them tearing each other’s faces off anymore. I didn’t even want to have anything to do with them anymore.
So, I decided to get a lawyer and file for divorce.
I couldn’t even bear to look at that cold–blooded husband of mine and his filthy family for another second.
When Penny learned about my plight, she held my hand and felt bad about me.
“I had always thought that Gary wasn’t a good person. He has arms and legs, so why couldn’t he go out and work instead of wasting his days away at home and relying on you to keep him alive and entertained?
“I can’t believe that he still tried to lead you into that trap. You should have divorced him a long time ago!”
