Let’s get a divorce Chapter 7

He took a hesitant step forward, but Gemma interrupted, Clinton, Ivy called you right after we landed. How could she have died in such a short time? Suzy’s clearly lying to manipulate you. She made Ivy play along to guilttrip you into staying away from me

Fine. If that’s how she wants it, then let’s never contact each other again, Clinton. I don’t even want these dumb figurines anymore. You can have them back.”

Then, she tossed the figurines onto the floor

No!I screamed and tried to stop her, but it was too late

The figurines shattered into pieces

Clinton snapped out of his hesitation, and any sense of remorse vanished in an instant

Enough, Suzy! Stop this ridiculous act. You’re disgusting. I must have been blind to marry you. How could you use Ivy to fuel your petty jealousy?”

He grabbed Gemma’s hand and glared at me. Don’t worry, Gemma. I don’t want her, and I’ll never leave you

Let’s go.”

I stared at the broken pieces on the floor, and my heart shattered alongside them. I’m so sorry, Ivy Mommy couldn’t even protect your keepsake. It seems I won’t be able to fulfill your wish.”

I tossed the broken pieces into the trash, together with every remaining ounce of affection had for Clinton. None of it mattered anymore. Nothing did

I believed Ivy would agree with my decision if she had known

When I finally laid Ivy to rest, I stood at her grave and gently traced the edges of her photo. Her smile, frozen in time, was so vibrant and full of life

1 hoped she would be reborn into a good life, and if there were another chance we could meet again, we would not fall each other next time

A commotion pulled me out of my thoughts

I turned to see Clinton approaching with his arm wrapped around Gemma

What are you doing here?he asked confusedly when he spotted me

But then, his gaze fell on the gravestone, and his expression turned thunderous

Suzy, you’re still at it? I guess I have to teach you a lesson so you’ll finally behave!he barked, grabbing my wrist roughly. You’re coming home with me!!!
