My wolf growls unhappily Chapter 19

Soon, it was time for the wedding to begin

Aunt Selma hurried in at the last moment. She gave me a tight hug and said, Sweetheart, I’m so happy for you. I hope you’ll always be happy now that you have a true mate by your side.”

After I chatted happily with Aunt Selma, the wedding officially commenced. But from the very beginning, I felt an inexplicable sense of unease, and my wolf was also restless

When Nathan and I were about to exchange rings, an angry shout suddenly came from outside

Stop! I object to this marriage!”

In the next moment, Carl barged in

Mom and Dad’s expressions instantly darkened, and they instructed the guards to throw him out

For some reason though, Carl who always cared about his pride didn’t back down and even fought with the guards. After knocking several of them down, he stormed over to the stage and reached out to me

Blaire, you can’t marry him. You’re supposed to be my bride, my future luna! I know I made mistakes, and I take full responsibility for them. Please, give me a chance. I’m begging you…

From now on, I’ll celebrate every birthday with you. I’ll make sure no mango ever shows up in your life again! Once I become the alpha of the Moonstone Pack, I’ll ban mango forever. Please forgive me. Just come home with me today, and I’ll promise you anything!”

Listening to his pitiful pleas similar to those in my dreams, I felt no stir of emotion in my heart

When Nathan saw that I didn’t react, he immediately stepped in front of me, blocking Carl’s gaze. He then ordered the guards to remove Carl from the venue

Within moments, Carl was dragged away

I watched him as he was dragged out in humiliation

Without hesitation, I turned around and exchanged rings with Nathan. Under the witness of the Goddess of the Moon, we completed the sacred ritual of marking

Nathan lowered his head and leaned close to my neck. His warm breath and the faint sting sent a ripple through my body, awakening the wolf within me

As his scent marked me, my wolf let out a low, contented whimpera sound filled with the joy of acceptance and a sense of belonging

When it was my turn, I slowly moved toward Nathan and left my mark on his shoulder

In that instant, an unprecedented connection surged in my heart. Our breaths intertwined, and the wilderness deep within our souls seemed to touch each other
