Tyler nodded and held the bracelets out toward me. Just as I reached to take them, he let them slip through his fingers.
“Crash!”
The delicate bracelets hit the floor and shattered.
I froze and stared at Tyler.
He looked back at me calmly, as if the act had been premeditated.
“You bastard!” I screamed, throwing my bag at his face. I dropped to my knees, scrambling to pick up the broken pieces scattered across the floor.
Before I could gather them all, Tyler tossed a document in front of me.

I glanced down at the document, and my heart sank. A divorce agreement. His demand? I walk away with nothing. My eyes widened as I stared at him, disbelief coursing through me. It didn’t take long to piece things together.
So this was what he’d been waiting for. Those other times he refused to discuss a divorce were all leading up to
this moment.
Now that he had fame and wealth, divorcing me meant losing half of it. Clearly, that wasn’t something Ethan was willing to let happen.
Tyler’s tone was cold. “That’s the deal. Take it or leave it.”
Perhaps feeling uncomfortable, Mindy stepped forward to thediate.
“Tyler, don’t do this. Don’t make things harder for her. This is all my fault. I’ll leave, and you two can work things out,”
I stopped her with a raised hand.
“You don’t need to go anywhere,” I said, each word sharp and deliberate. “I’ll sign it.
