Cameron turned around, and Belle was gone. All that remained at the spot where she stood earlier was a rather worn–looking bell. Clutching the bell, Cameron fell to his knees and sobbed his heart out.
He knew that from that moment onward, he had truly lost the person who’d accompanied him for over a decade. He’d lost the person who moved his heart–the source of his warmth and salvation. Everything was gone in the
