The crowd had only just started to settle down when Conan suddenly interrupted us again. This time, the situation was even more tense and awkward than before. I could hardly breathe.
At the sight of an overly emotional Conan, Dylan immediately shielded me behind him. He warned, “I advise that you get down from here right now before you force me to do something to you.”
However, Conan didn’t seem to care about anyone else and ignored Dylan’s words. He just continued glaring at me.
“Sabrina Lockhart, this is your final chance. Come away with me!”
My good mood was instantly ruined. I frowned and glared back at him impatiently. “Go see a doctor if you’re not right in the head. I’m in the middle of getting married to Dylan!”
Conan reacted as though he’d just heard another funny joke. He laughed like a crazy maniac before putting the mic to his mouth again.
At this point, Joseph couldn’t stand it any longer. He exploded in anger and shuddered hard as he yelled, “Conan Hamilton! Look at yourself! This is not how a Hamilton should behave!”
Conan simply scoffed. His eyes looked teary. “Dad, you’re the one who’s never treated me as a Hamilton.”
After Conan spoke, Joseph was so mad that his breathing turned ragged as he struggled with his words. In the end, he waved at his bodyguards. “Throw that troublemaker out of here! This is preposterous!”
Anna hurriedly helped Joseph sit, thumping him on the chest to help him catch his breath.
The bodyguards who heard Joseph’s command rushed onstage and grabbed Conan before forcefully dragging him
out.
Dylan was still fuming from the interruption, but when I tugged at his sleeve, he instantly turned to me with a smile and gently patted the back of my hand.
“Don’t worry, Sabrina. Nobody can stop us from getting married.”
The wedding finally continued after Conan was removed. However, the incident had already caught the attention of many media tabloids. After all, the second heir to Hamilton Group had just crashed his own brother’s wedding and tried running away with his bride too! That would be a juicy piece of gossip, indeed. The camera flashes went off incessantly.
Nevertheless, this incident was a great help to us as we were trying to fire Conan as the branch company’s CEO.
When the wedding was over, Dylan and I returned to the Hamilton residence to enjoy the massive wedding feast they had prepared for us.
