Chapter 15
“Grace!”
Without thinking. Antonio stood up and strode over, grabbing Grace’s wrist. “Grace, why did you…”
But before he could finish his words, Jeffrey slapped his hand off, saying with a frown, “Don’t touch my fiancée!”
The word “fiancée” stunned Antonio.
He looked at Grace with a hint of grievance in his eyes. “Grace, did you fake your death and leave me because of this guy?”
Grace glanced at Antonio up and down and then said indifferently, “Sorry, sir. Maybe you’ve mistaken me for someone else. I don’t know
you.”
What?
Antonio froze in place, looking at Grace in disbelief. “Grace, I’ll never mistake someone else for you. I know you very well. We’ve lived together for three years. How could possibly…”
“Security! Take this troublemaker out!” Jeffrey suddenly chimed in, shouting.
Meanwhile, he tightly held Grace in his arms.
But Antonio was still looking at Grace, asking, “Grace, why do you pretend not to know me?”
Anxious, he reached out and grabbed her wrist again. “I know you’re…”
“Sir, if you offend my fiancée again. I’ll call the police!”
Jeffrey forcefully pulled Antonio’s hand off Grace’s wrist and protected her behind him. Staring at Antonio coldly, he said to the security guard, “Throw him out! Don’t let him set foot in this restaurant ever again!”
Antonio still wanted to say something, but the security guard forcefully drove him out. Seeing that Grace sat down at a table, he wanted to go in but was blocked by the security guard.
“Sur, please don’t make things difficult for us.
“I’m also your customer! You want me to file a complaint against you?” Antonio shouted.
“The man just now is our boss.”
The security guard’s words choked Antonio off, and he could only give up. Standing outside the restaurant, he saw how intimate Grace was with Jeffrey, and he felt so much hurt in his heart.
He was a hundred percent sure that she was Grace.
However, now, he could only wait outside the restaurant.
The wind in Auroville in January was chilling, and soon, it began to rain. The icy cold rain hit Antonio’s face, making him shiver uncontrollably.
As the night wore on, there were fewer people on the street, and the lights were getting dimmer. In the end, he even felt like he was the only one left on the street. But still, he hadn’t seen Grace come out.
When he turned to look inside the restaurant, he found that the lights there had already been turned off. The security guard said to him kindly before leaving, “Our boss left through the back door two hours ago.”
So, Jeffrey and Grace had left two hours ago.

Antonio’s heart sank. In a daze, he slowly walked into the rain.
When he recalled the abortion report and the disappointment towards. him, he laughed at himself and shook his head..
He knew he deserved it..
But he didn’t wanna give up like that.
Since Grace was still alive, she was still his wife. They hadn’t divorced. yet, and he thought he still had a chance.
However, he couldn’t get into the Simpson’s villa. The only chance he had was the art exhibition in a week.
Meanwhile, in a bar at the seaside…
Grace sat by the window, watching the surging waves in the darkness outside and drinking wine.
But Jeffrey suddenly snatched the glass from her hand and gave her a cocktail, saying, “Try this. I personally mixed it for you.”
Grace glanced at that blue cocktail, thinking it was quite beautiful.
“It’s beautiful,” she praised honestly.
Sitting right next to her, Jeffrey apologized, “Earlier, I said to that man I was your fiancé. I’m sorry if that makes you feel offended.”
After a pause, he asked, “That man is Antonio, right?”
Grace raised her eyes and looked at him, nodding. “Yeah. It’s him, my
- CX.
“I know,” Jeffrey smiled. “Then do you still love him?”
