forgive me? I shouldn’t have left you at the wedding. I’ve already received my punishment…”
Keith stared at Sandra’s back. The Sandra who once hid her likes and hobbies to take care of him had disappeared. What he was experiencing was nothing when compared to the pain she endured.
No one would understand that pain. The pain he was experiencing was nothing close to what she had to bear.
No one responded. Zachary glanced at Sandra. Her facial expression looked bored and emotionless.
They soon arrived at the hospital in the city.
Zachary opened the door. “Keith! We are here, get out of the car.”
He then dragged Keith out of the car. Sandra, who sat in the passenger seat and did not even look back at him.
Keith was hunched with embarrassment and tried to move forward in difficulty. He felt completely embarrassed. When he reached the entrance, he could not hold on anymore.
He fainted from the pain.
Zachary and Sandra sat in the car, watching the hospital staff from the emergency carry him on a stretcher and push him into the hospital. They felt relieved.
Sandra said softly, “Let’s go.”

When Zachary heard that, he understood that she had really let go of her feelings for Keith.
Zachary was a little intimidated and secretly vowed to himself that he would never do anything to hurt Sandra. Otherwise, he could end up like Keith one day.
Sandra looked at Zachary and asked, “Do you regret it?”
Zachary was confused by her sudden question. “What do I have to regret?”
“Regret being with me.”
He took Sandra’s hand and gently stroked it. “Why would I? You’ve always been my dream.”
Zachary’s eyes glowed with warmth as he spoke. He knew that they still needed time to get to know each other well, but he had plenty of time.
Their life was still a long journey ahead. They would use their whole lives loving each other.
Their break ended quickly. In a blink of an eye, it was time for them to report themselves back to the research
team.
Sandra glanced at the door, and Keith did not appear again. It seemed that from that day onward, Keith understood her wish and had given up.
