Samuel turned pale as he remembered what he had done over the past month to make Yelena happy.
He removed the prayer ribbons for Joy, left her behind in the mountain valley, and even gave the medicine to Yelena, forever ruining Joy’s chances of dancing again.
He turned paler and staggered. He almost fell. Everything around him turned into a blurry mess. All he could hear was his chaotic heartbeat and hurried breathing.

Martha glared at Samuel and said, “I don’t care what you were thinking. You’re married to Yelena now and are going to be a father. Set those feelings aside and live as a proper husband to Yelena!”
Even though Samuel had run away from his wedding, everyone, including Martha, Francis, Bethany, and Howard ( Yelena’s father) had already acknowledged that Yelena and Samuel were married.
Samuel opened his mouth to say something, but his vision suddenly turned black, and he collapsed.
When he woke up, he saw Yelena sitting by his side while wailing.
All that had happened today dealt a huge blow to her.
The most important moment to a woman was her wedding, but the man she loved had suddenly run away for Joy. How was she supposed to keep living with dignity?
Also, when she was discovered to be pregnant after she fainted in church, the doctor told her that due to the huge shock she received, she may suffer a miscarriage.
The thought of it just made her cry harder.
Her hate for Joy also grew.

As for her parents, they were not angry at him running away, but at Yelena for not being able to make him stay. However, in front of the Foster family, they still pretended to love Yelena to make the Foster family feel even more regretful.

Meanwhile, Francis punched Samuel.

Samuel was already tense because of the series of things that happened, and with Francis hitting him, he ended up bedridden for more than a month.
