The moment my words fell, two journalists carrying cameras appeared at the entrance of the alley.
Flashbulbs flared to life.
They captured everything, the security camera at the alley’s entrance, conveniently broken in advance.

My bloodstained white dress, now marred with dark patches.
My mangled arm, raw and exposed.
My reddened eyes, tears slipping down, one by one.
“What the hell is going on?”
It finally dawned on Nicholas that he had walked straight into my trap.
His expression darkened.
“I’m from the Scott family. This is a personal matter. If you know what’s good for you, turn around and walk away. Unless you want your careers ruined.“.
At his words, the journalists hesitated, lowering their cameras.
Nicholas smirked, thinking his threat had worked.
But the next second, they stepped in closer.
“Hey rich kid, there are always people in this world who don’t fear you. You’ve spent your whole life at the top, coddled and worshiped. Did you really think that would last forever?”
The female reporter carefully avoided my injured arm and grabbed my other hand.
“Follow me!”
I jumped into the car with the two journalists I contacted in advance, and we sped off down the road.
Behind us, Nicholas‘ car roared to life, tailing us relentlessly.
The timing was tight–by now, all the students had already entered the exam hall.
Outside the main gates, the area was packed with parents who came to see their kids off.
Among them were reporters who had arrived early, ready to capture the usual college entrance footage.
Our car screeched to a sudden halt right in front of them.
Every head turned as I shoved the door open and stumbled out, covered in blood.
All eyes widened in shock.

I steadied myself and turned, locking onto the fiery red sports car that had skidded to a stop behind us.
“Nicholas. Scott.”
I spat out his name, sharp and deliberate.
“You think being from the Scott family, the so–called golden boy of the elite circle, gives you the right to stop me from taking this exam?
“Even if you break my arm, even if I’m barely breathing, I will crawl into that hall if I have to and turn in my test.”
