Chapter 9
Everyone turned toward the voice and saw Mira standing at the center of the sacred grounds, dressed in an exquisite gown.
She was stunningly beautiful, radiant, and exuded a natural nobility, as if she were the embodiment of the Moon Goddess herself. It was impossible to look away.
But her words were even more shocking than her appearance.
Torin was the first to react. He quickly stepped forward, asking Mira in confusion, “Mira, why did you call Aris ‘ Mom‘?”
Elora also forced a smile, trying to ingratiate herself. “Yes, Mira, I’m Torin’s mother. Aris is just a naive fool who used to have money–well, now she’s just a fool without any money. You must have mistaken her for someone else!”
Damon nodded repeatedly, his expression serious. “That’s right, Mira. You might not be familiar with our family situation. Aris raised Torin in the past, but she has no blood relation to him. You don’t need to give her any face for Torin’s sake. She doesn’t deserve it!”
Hearing their words, the crowd seemed to understand.
“Looks like Luna Mira made a mistake. She probably thought Aris was her future mother–in–law and sent the invitation to the wrong person.”
“No wonder. I was wondering how Aris suddenly had a daughter.”
