Jane watched him, still feeling a bit confused.
It wasn’t until Mrs. Westwood saw Jane’s puzzled expression that she explained, “Jane, do you remember, back when you were in university, you helped a boy deliver a love letter?”
‘Oh my god!‘ Jane exclaimed inwardly.
She suddenly remembered.
It had been a huge misunderstanding.
The love letter wasn’t hers, she had helped her roommate deliver it.
Her roommate had a crush on a senior but was too shy to confess.
When Jane heard that, she thought, “I can’t let this go!” So she volunteered and became the matchmaker.
Finally, she found a chance to wait for the boy downstairs at a academic building and handed him the love letter.
Just as she was about to explain the situation, several mischievous boys snatched the letter from his hands and began reading it aloud.
Normally, love letters would just include some romantic lines to confess one’s feelings, but Jane hadn’t expected that her shy roommate had written such bold words.
The first sentence was: “Your zipper is undone.”
The second sentence: “It looks pretty big.”
Jane was dumbfounded.
The boy who received the love letter was also stunned. He awkwardly apologized repeatedly and rushed off to chase after the boys who had read the letter aloud.
The result was that the love letter’s bold content made Jane famous in school.
But this event made Tom very unhappy.
Even though Jane had explained many times that she didn’t like the boy and hadn’t written the letter, it had been a complete misunderstanding.
However, Tom was still angry, and the consequences were severe.
Somehow, he got the principal to send the senior abroad, officially for a study program, but in reality, it was just a way to remove him from Jane’s world.
Jane felt guilty about it for a while.
The senior went abroad, and her roommate’s chance for love was gone, leaving them with unfulfilled feelings. Jane even stayed angry with Tom for a long time over this.
After waiting for a while at the terminal exit, Sean drove over.
He slowly stopped the car, rolled down the window, and said, “Mr. Westwood, Mrs. Westwood, and… Jane, please get in.”
Mr. Westwood and his wife, being a loving couple, immediately sat in the back seat together.
The only seat left for Jane was the front passenger seat.
She stood outside for a while.
