“May I ask what type of interview and theme this will be? We could communicate about the requirefnents before we start to save both of our time and energy.”
“Let Mr. Howard decide, I have no objections.” Jeff immediately forgot what he had been about to say and became the mediator between the two. “Mr. Howard is a big shot that we’re very lucky to be able to interview. We can accept any theme that he wants.”
It was rare for Tom to come to such an event, and they were afraid they might lose the opportunity for a trending topic.
Throughout the whole exchange, Jane never revealed that she and Tom already knew each other. Seeing that Jeff had asked her to directly communicate with Tom, she said casually, “Mr. Howard, please go ahead.”
Her casual address was polite but distant.
Tom gave an answer that didn’t address the question. “The environment here seems a bit disorganized. Since it’s almost noon, how about the three of us find a restaurant, sit down, and discuss while eating?”
He invited both Jane and Jeff, but his gaze was fixed only on the former, as if fearing she might disappear again. Jane wasn’t interested. “I have plans for lunch, so I probably can’t stay too long. How about this. you two talk, and once you finalize the filming requirements, just send me a document.”
Just as she finished speaking, her phone conveniently rang, someone had called her right on time.
Jane didn’t feel the need to avoid anything, so she answered the call in front of them.
It was Sean calling. His voice was as gentle as usual as he asked from the other side of the line, “Are you done over there? I’m about to head back and can pick you up. We can go to Mr. Westwood’s place together.”
No matter where she was going, he always managed to be on the way.
Jane smiled lightly, her eyes curving slightly. “It’s done, I’m just about to head out.”
Sean then said to her, “What a coincidence, I just happened to be outside the photography studio.”
“Really, what a coincidence?”
Sean chuckled softly and didn’t say anything further.
Both of them knew well that he had come specifically to wait for her.
Jane didn’t point this out. She ended the call, then said her goodbyes to Jeff, “You heard him, I really have plans for lunch, so I must leave now.”
Tom was the only one ignored. He stood with Jeff, watching as she jogged out of the photography studio.
Jane briskly got into Sean’s car.
Jeff watched the car drive away, enviously saying to Tom, “Those two are students of one of my good friends. I heard they’re in a relationship, deeply in love, and their relationship is very stable. It’s probably only a matter of time before they get married…”
