Chapter 21
Stefany’s nervousness became increasingly apparent, with cold sweat forming in his palms. However, no one came to open the door even after he waited
for a long time.
Feeling panicked, he instinctively tried to push it.
To his surprise, the door was securely locked. It weddn’t budge at all.
A small blackboard nearby read, “We’re closed today.”
At first, he thought the blackboard was a sign that Alyssa was walling to meet him, having put up the notice to avoid other visitors.
Bar now, he realized it was a message of rejection. She had no intention of meeting him at all.
At that moment, everything became clear to Stelan Alyssa had played him. All of this was her way of telling him, “Sorry, but I don’t plan on forgiving
Stelan stared at the guesthouse in disbelief.
He couldn’t forget how, back when they were together, they had talked about opening a guesthouse by the sea. Simply enjoying the ocean breeze and holding each other was their idea of happiness,
Knowing how much she loved the idea, he had bought several coastal guesthouses for her, occasionally taking her to visit.
Every time they went to one, she laughed with such joy, her excitement evident with every surprise. Her compliments had filled his heart with happiness.
But when did they stop going out together?
Stefan stared blankly, lost in thought.
Ever since Juliette came into the picture, his time with Alyssa had dwindled. Those guesthouses they used to visit had long been forgotten, never revisited even once.
So many promises he made to her had been broken.
Guilt weighed heavier and heavier on Stefan’s heart. He hated the person he used to be.
He had worked so hard to win Alyssa over. Despite losowing full well how insecure she felt deep down, that she feared they would end up like her parents, he had still let things slip through his fingers.
There was a time when he resisted all the temptations thrown his way, no matter how alluring they might be.
Why couldn’t he have kept it that way?
The current Stefan wished nothing more than to drag his past self out and beat him up. None of this would have happened if only he had stayed true to
himself
As he stood there, lost in his torment, a striking blonde woman dressed in a bold ourlit noticed him. Her eyes lit up instantly at the sight of Stefan, whose commanding presence and unique charm were rare in her experience.
Raising a perfectly arched eyebrow, she sauntered over and greeted him with practiced ease. “Hey, handsome. Care to join me for a drink?”
The moment her fair and rested lightly on his shoulder, Stefan recoiled as if he had been burned.
“Scram!”
His icy demeanor sent waves of frust into the air around him. Yet instead of being intimidated, the blonde woman found herself intrigued, fueling her desire to win him over.
She tried again, leaning closer, using her alluring curves as bait to test his limits.
In an instant, with undisguised disgust, Stefan flung her to the ground without mercy. The violent impact made her feel as though her bones might shatter
Fear finally overcame her bravado. Trembling, she begged for mercy, “I’m sorry! I won’t do it again, I promise!”
Her voice grew hoarse from pleading, and only then did Stefan seem to snap out of his daze
“Don’t ever follow me again. You’re disgusting!” He felt sullied to his very core, every fiber of his being screaming with discomfort.
Stefan chocked into the nearest hotel
Under scalding hot water, he stood motionless, letting the heat pour over him as if he were numb.
His skin turned red, nearly blistering, as he scrubbed himself repeatedly, trying to cleanse the filth be felt.
“Lyssa, I’m not dirty. Please don’t think I’m dirty, okay? I know I did wrong. Look, a woman threw herself at me today, and I rejected her without
hesitation. Please don’t leave me, okay?” he mumbled to himself over and over as he teetered on the edge of madness.
