The sixth diary of farewell to the world.
March 19, 2024.
I suddenly could stand up.
Celeste was very happy as I got much better.

Just by looking at the doctor’s hesitant expression, I knew that this was a last gasp.
I rolled up my sleeves. My arms were covered with bruises and needle holes.
“Look, Celeste, I’m like a sieve. It hurt so much.”
She grunted, “Now you’re complaining. How energetic you were last night when staying up late to get tickets!”
I pouted, “I definitely have to go and show my support at my ex–boyfriend’s first interview after he became popular.
“It’s been a long time. Let’s see how his company is doing.”
The playful smile on Celeste’s face faded away, and seriousness took over.
After a while, she poked me.
“Did you break up with him because his company was just starting out and you didn’t wanna hold him back? If he still loves you now, will you go to him for help?”
“No!” I firmly refused.
“But now his company is worth tens of millions of dollars. It’s easy for him to help you.”
“No! I won’t go to find him, and you’re not allowed to do that!”
“But…”
“Stop it,” I interrupted Celeste, put down my sleeves, and covered up those terrifying marks.
“I’m doing fine now. He and I have long ceased to be on the same path. In his eyes, I’m just a bad woman who abandoned him when he was at his lowest.
“If in the future… Anyway, hating me can make him happier in the future, while loving me… Loving me will only make him suffer.”
Seeing the tears about to fall from Celeste’s eyes, I quickly grabbed her hand and said softly, “Now, now, there’s enough water at the aquarium we’ll go to today. You don’t need to contribute any more water.
“Don’t worry. Cancer can’t defeat me!
“We will continue to shoot videos until I recover, and then we will do live streams together to promote products and make a fortune!
“I won’t like Bernard or anyone else by then.”
Celeste was amused by my exaggerated description and smiled.
I felt relieved when I saw her smile.
“Let’s go. I finally got a chance to hang out. Let’s not talk about these things. The aquarium will close if we waste more time here.”
I turned around and walked backward while talking to Celeste, but I accidentally bumped into someone’s arms and cried out,
1 bowed my head without looking up and apologized.
A familier cold laugh suddenly rang out above my head.
I suddenly looked up and, upon seeing the other person’s face, I was so scared that I kept stepping back.
Celeste also recognized him. “Bernard?”
Although we hadn’t seen each other for over a year, time had been kind to Bernard, and he was quite different from before due to his popularity.
But years of acquaintence and familiarity still allowed us to recognize each other at a glance,
“Elisa?”
His beautiful eyes scanned me from head to toe.

When he noticed my haggard appearance, there was first shock in his eyes.
He thought about something else, and a mocking smile spread across his face.
He was about to speak when I realized something and turned around to run away.
Celeste held the phone and ran after me all the way.
The sounds of panting and wind were constant.
With the shaky camera, it was evident how fast we were running at that time.
Amidst the howling wind, I faintly heard Bernard shouting my name.
“Elisa! Do you really hate me like this?”
