Chapter 28 He Fell in Love
Amazement gripped everyone as they looked at Jim.

Tessa’s fan had the most desperate time when he heard that. His hand trembled as he checked on Galaxy Net to find the video of the black serpent losing control. Surprisingly, he found it was really Jim when he compared them both.
He was engrossed in watching Tessa and had not noticed the black serpent’s look. Finally, he realized that it was Jim.
The black serpent was found snuggling up to Tessa in the video. Besides, the young man was holding the bun. It seemed that he had gained all the good things.
Envy overcame everyone.
Benjamin tried to make things worse. He teased Jim, “Look at you! You got so soft in the woman hands. With your tail hooked, you kept clinging to her!”
Everyone present was young and energetic, and they excitedly whistled because of what Benjamin had said.
Jim fell gloomy. The people around him grew louder in teasing and making fun of him. He gradually clenched his fists as veins started bulging on his forehead.
However, Benjamin refused to hold back. He questioned, “Do you still remember how it felt at that time? Were her hands soft? Did she give you a good time by touching you?”
Jim punched him hard in the face before he could even finish talking. He was so fast that no one could see his punch. They could only hear the whistle of the wind.
With a heavy thud, the powerful Benjamin fell hard to the earth.
Everyone fell silently briefly before an even noisier clamor was heard..
“Wow! What a good punch!”
“What are you waiting for? Punch him again!”
“Get up! You’re useless! Fight back!”
There was peace and friendliness when they chatted about Tessa just now. It was nothing but a brief illusion. The current scene was the true atmosphere of the Black Market.
This location was a violent hell on earth where everyone was a desperate runaway. No one would want peace, and no one would intervene to break up a conflict. All they would do was whistle, waiting for more action.
Jim stared icily at Benjamin, who got up awkwardly as he wiped away the blood on his nose.

were fierce and aggressive.”

Benjamin used to be a fierce fighter there. But after losing to Jim and barely escaping death, he quit fighting and became a staff member there.
They became friends from their fights.
Hence, Benjamin was fine with that punch. He raised his eyebrows and suddenly chuckled. Then, he pointed at Jim and told everyone. “Did you see? He’s in love.”
Benjamin knew Jim well since they had known each other for a long time. He knew that Jim was good at holding himself back. He would suppress himself and tolerate it even if he was mad. Otherwise, he would not have endured his mother’s oppression for many years quietly until he lost control of himself.
Unexpectedly, a person who was that forbearing fell out with Benjamin without warning simply because Benjamin had joked about a young woman. Besides. Benjamin did not really say anything vulgar.
Benjamin patted Jim’s shoulders and acted like he understood the latter. He said. “You’re still young.
“I was young before, too. Benjamin heaved a sigh with melancholic feelings. “I used to love a young woman. I’d been trying to win her over for seven or eight years.”
At that time, he had not fallen into such a state and had not stepped into the Black Market. He could almost lead a happy life.
“Something happened later. I came here to fight to earn money and pay off my debts. I was too timid to see her.” Benjamin was still grinning. “People like us, we’re inferior and vulgar. We don’t deserve to be with people like them.”
Speechlessness overcame Jim. He indifferently brushed off Benjamin’s hand and turned back to his seat silently.
He carried the thermos food box again and fished up a bun to eat it. Then, he gingerly grabbed another and ate it. He chewed on it hard and swallowed it fiercely.
His falling eyelids and somewhat long hair concealed every emotion on his face, but it was hard to conceal the depth of inferiority that pervaded every part of his body.
He had no right to demand anything more because life was hard enough.
He devoured all the buns before his turn, put the thermos food box away carefully, and then. made his way to the arena.
There was a sensation of fragility between adolescence and adulthood, and his back was straight and slender. The feeling of weakness vanished as soon as he took the stage, like a ferocious, cutting blade.

His vicious maneuvers felt liberating, but he stopped instantly as his opponent fell. He stifled his rage. He saved his opponent’s life once more, as usual.
He grimly walked out of the Black Market with an empty thermos food box, having only been given half as much as others.
The sun was shining brightly outside, making it the greatest time of day. On the street, people were coming and going, talking about the courageous young woman who had prevented the black serpent from hurting anybody earlier. That one of the parties had gone back out on the street went unnoticed.
