The shop’s owner was asking young guys to visit the newly opened jewelry store to see what they might get for the women they liked.
Jim approached the shop and cleaned his hands of the blood. Then, he gingerly raised a necklace
of blue iris.
Tessa had a lovely complexion and an elegant, slim neck. Once, when Jim lost control and became a beast, he had tenderly wrapped and rubbed against it.
He could still picture the pendant on Tessa’s neck, even if those recollections had already faded. like a dream.
The necklace cost 12,000 star coins, which was enough to cover four months‘ worth of his living costs. He hurriedly texted Tessa and paid for it straight.
[I got you a present. You should expect it by tomorrow at the latest.]
He intended to manufacture the wrapping box himself to demonstrate his sincerity.
All his roommates were gone when he returned to the dorm.
Only military school students continued to reside on campus, four to a room, whereas students. from other institutions tended to commute throughout the interstellar era.
Jim had seldom left the Empire’s Military Academy’s student dorm, where he had always lived. His mother used to periodically come hunting for problems, begging for money, or mysteriously hitting and abusing him when he didn’t return home. However, the danger would no longer knock on his door.
Unsurprisingly, he learned a few days ago that his mother had reported him to the Federation for Female Welfare, just after he had returned to his human form.
In the end, the Federation for Female Welfare chose not to punish him after the regulatory agency maintained that he was not at fault with the support of several eyewitnesses.
He was not convicted or sent to prison after his uncontrollable rage nearly killed his mother and her cherished youngest son. This result infuriated his mother, but unlike before, she dared not beat him physically.
They learned their lesson and never again ventured to offend him. They would live with the terror of the poisonous snake’s fangs for the rest of their lives, a shadow they could not get rid of.
After cleaning and putting it in the highest spot in his cupboard, Jim reassembled the translucent thermos lunch box that had been used to wrap the buns with the fluffy light yellow coat.
He wanted to remove the soft coat and cradle it in his arms, but he couldn’t resist petting it. However, he swiftly pulled his palm away, stifling the intense need within him, and only gazed up at it lying contentedly in the elevated spot.

Even the idea of desecration was sinful, and a man of his level could not endure or deserve to ruin such a lovely life. He had trouble falling asleep that night.
However, the young woman whom he missed was sleeping soundly.
Tessa’s sleeplessness vanished instantly that night when the issue was resolved via the live broadcast, and she slept until the middle of the morning.
She was rather bewildered when she woke up and was presented with gifts.
She was unable to distinguish between the gifts that came from Jim and Mr. Lyon because they arrived at the same time.
Both of the little boxes had beautiful packing that gave the impression that they were handmade.
The first box was carefully opened to reveal a necklace. Made of an unidentified substance, the chain was robust but supple. It was fragile, yet not easily broken. Tessa put it up to her neck, revealing a little, brilliantly gleaming blue iris bloom that hung precisely on her collarbone.
A pair of fluffy hair clips that felt like clouds to the touch were in the second package. When Tessa pulled them out, she saw that they resembled little rabbit ears.
Tessa was rendered speechless.
Tessa was rather embarrassed even though the effect of having bunny ears on her head was better than she had anticipated, not at all juvenile, and adorable.
Since the rabbit ear hair clips did not fit Mr. Lyon’s adult persona, she assumed Jim had given them to her as a present because he was a young guy and she could see that he would enjoy such things. The iris necklace was probably from Mr. Lyon.
Tessa was unaware that her deduction of the perfect rationale was flawed. She thanked them both via text before gently returning the items to their boxes for storage.
Along with these two presents, she was also given an invitation card that had a little scent to it. It had a really old vibe and was weighty.
The invitation included a distinct white tiger insignia, which Tessa knew to be the royal totem. It was an invitation to a castle gala, she knew. She searched online and confirmed that it was true.
The ball, which was supposed to choose a queen, was actually a lavish dinner for matchmaking and was scheduled to take place at the royal mansion on the Central Planet in a month.
The invited women were all of A–level mental power, and all of the invitees were single. The men who were eligible to attend the ball were the most exceptional young talents, most of whom came from wealthy families.
To verify that the invitation was authentic, Tessa presented it to Jacob. Since Jacob and Alexander were both exceptional single men, they were also invited.
