“I had been faithful to you and treated you so well all this time, yet you betrayed me!” Conan roared at me.
I frowned. Not caring about what he just said, I replied, “You’re overestimating me, Conan. After discussing it with the Board, your father and your brother came to this conclusion.
“You haven’t been a good CEO. You couldn’t take Hamilton Group to reach its full potential!”
Conan looked absolutely desolate. He staggered backward and glared at me hatefully.
“Sabrina, I don’t mind giving up the company if it means that you’ll divorce Dylan and marry me now. I’ll give you everything I have. Please?”
I felt a pounding headache coming on. I stood next to Dylan and gave Conan a good once–over.
“Don’t talk to me like that, especially since we’re in public with so many onlookers. What happened to talking to me as your sister–in–law? You’re just revealing yourself to be a rebellious bastard.”
Conan gritted his teeth in anger. He shifted his glare of death to Dylan as veins popped up on his forehead.
He was just about to speak when a figure suddenly rushed in from afar, calling out his name.
“Conan!”
Queenie forced her way into the middle of the crowd and wrapped her hands around Conan’s arm. She looked very pitiful as she cried and wailed, “Conan, you shouldn’t even be talking to that bitch anymore! She’s not worth it! Marry me instead! I’ll agree to marry you at once!”
Queenie used to be Conan’s assistant. But now, she was basically telling the whole world that she was going to marry him. The rest of the crowd immediately descended into surprised gasps and murmurs as they gossiped amongst themselves.
“What? Ms. Winters and Mr. Hamilton are already planning to get married? I thought they were just dating each other!”
“Isn’t that good, though? This calls for a second celebration for the Hamilton family since both their heirs are married!”
Dylan assessed the situation and cleared his throat, demanding attention.
