As our eyes met, I felt a fleeting pang in my heart, something I hadn’t felt in a long time.
“You don’t need to feel burdened,” he continued with a gentle smile. “Just focus on being a beautiful bride.” His eyes, still smiling, held no more secrets, and I could see the emotions he had long kept hidden.
