Other fruit farmers in the town also approached us, and after on–site inspections, I allowed those with fruits meeting the quality standards to be featured in our live streams.
On the way back, the elderly man was laughing and crying at the same time. He held my hand tightly, struggling to express his gratitude.
Spending the past half a month here had shown me a simplicity and tranquility in life that I hadn’t experienced before.
The elderly lady brought out fresh big prawns she had bought from the market early in the morning in town and made my favorite grilled prawns, packing them in makeshift containers.
“Dear, I don’t know how to thank you, and I don’t know what you like to eat. These are the grilled prawns my son used to love. Take them with you on your journey,” the elderly lady said.
My heart ached; the elderly lady’s son had suffered from leukemia, spending several years in and out of hospitals. He had passed away last year, leaving her family in financial ruin, depleting all their savings and leaving them with a pile of debt.
These grilled prawns were something they could never bear to eat on ordinary days.
I forced a smile and took the container from her hand. Thank you. We’ll eat them when we get hungry. on the way.”
They nodded in agreement, watching us as we left.

Chapter 0020
On the road, I sat in the passenger seat in silence, holding the container.
“What’s wrong?” Steve noticed my low spirits and asked with concern.
I shook my head. “It’s nothing is thinking about the elderly man’s family. It’s a bit heartbreaking
“How about we visit them again next time?” Steve always seemed to guess what I was thinking
“Okay.”
“I want to continue with the agricultural live streaming,” I turned to look at Steve and said earnestly,” Not just oranges, not just the elderly man’s family, there are so many farmers. I want to do my best to help them.”
“I’ve found it; this is the direction I want to pursue.”
Steve reached out and gently stroked my hair, giving his wholehearted approval. “Well, I’ll be with you.”
If we weren’t on the highway, I would have almost wanted to jump into his arms.
The elderly man’s oranges were indeed delicious, with rave reviews online, and many repeat customers.
Once the elderly man’s oranges were sold out, other fruit farmers in town, inspired by our livestream, saw their oranges flying off the shelves as well.
The elderly man personally called to express his gratitude, and the sense of accomplishment was no less than winning a tough business battle abroad.
I received a thank–you letter from the local government, and my dad couldn’t be prouder, showcasing it to anyone he met.
