“Henry? What are you doing here?” I asked.
He sat there, curled up and looking rather eerie in the dimght.
When he saw me, his expression twisted with emotion. He rushed forward as if to embrace me, but froze when he noticed Quinn and me holding hands. He then took two steps back.
“Why?” he asked, his voice trembling.
I raised an eyebrow.
“Why did you choose him?” he demanded, his gaze fixed on me.
I sighed, slightly annoyed. “Because he’s handsome and has a great body. Obviously,”

Hearing this, I could not hold back any longer. I slapped Henry hard across the face.
“So you do remember that I was your wife?” I asked coldly, almost gritting my teeth.
Then, word by word, I added, “Where was that sense of responsibility when you were cuddling and whispering sweet nothings to Sadie in front of my corpse?”
