After being reborn, the aloof school heartthrob wants to marry me.
Chapter 1
I was happily heading back to my dorm, arms
loaded with my Thursday night takeout haul.
Suddenly, Ethan Harris, the aloof campus
hottie, blocked my path, his eyes bloodshot.
“Thank God, there’s still time. We’re not
divorced yet…”
“This time, let’s start over!”
I scratched my head, confused.
<
“Dude, I don’t even know you.”
Ethan Harris.
The guy who looked like he’d stepped
straight out of a comic book.
The prince charming of every girl’s dreams.
Including my best friend, Olivia Miller.
She was convinced Ethan was destined to
inherit his family’s fortune and rule the
business world, and she was determined to
snag him and live the high life.
But Ethan was naturally reserved, giving
<
everyone the cold shoulder.
One day, Olivia got hit by a car.
When she woke up, she smacked me on the head, gritting her teeth.
“You idiot, don’t you dare even think about
Ethan Harris! Don’t you dare marry him!”
I stared at her, dumbfounded.
Why hit me? If you want to curse, curse yourself.
Besides, it’s not like I could just marry Ethan
Harris if I wanted to.
く
The Harris family was the richest in town,
heirs to a massive business empire.
They were bound to arrange a marriage for
him, and a nobody like me wouldn’t even be
on their radar.
Before I could process anything, my
roommate, Sarah Lee, touched Olivia’s
forehead.
“Are you delirious?”
“She’s still single!”
Olivia suddenly burst out laughing.
く
“That’s wonderful!”
She laughed so hard tears welled up in her
eyes.
Ignoring her pain, she rushed over and
hugged me tightly.
“It’s so good, so good, my Chloe is still
single!”
“This time, I won’t let you marry that jerk!”
Olivia shooed everyone else out of the room.
Taking a deep breath, she slowly revealed the
truth.

<
She said she was reborn.
In her past life…
I tripped at a school dance and fell right into
Ethan’s arms.
He was wearing a sharp suit, looking
ridiculously handsome.
Instinctively, he reached out to catch me, and
we spun around.
Then we both fell, me on top of him.
Ethan wasn’t smitten.
<
Neither was I.
But the school went wild, and rumors of our
relationship spread like wildfire.
Ethan didn’t deny them; he just let everyone
assume we were a couple.
Just like that, he introduced me to his family.
They didn’t seem to care about my
background. They saw my decent grades,
outgoing personality, and okay looks, and immediately started pushing for marriage.
And so, I became a wealthy housewife.

But the good times didn’t last. Five years
later…
Ethan handed me divorce papers.
He said he’d never had feelings for me.
Hearing this, I nodded. “Sounds about right.
Ethan and I were definitely not meant to be.
Suddenly, I asked,
“Did we have kids?”
Olivia was silent for a moment.
<
“Yes, a boy and a girl.”
“They both went to the Harris family.”
I was so shocked my burger slipped from my
hand and landed on the bedsheet.
The pristine white fabric was instantly stained with ketchup.
Olivia, instead of getting angry, hugged my
head sympathetically.
“Those little brats, best not to mention them.”
In the end…
<
Under Olivia’s watchful eye, I solemnly vowed
this lifetime…
Even if I ended up an old maid, I wouldn’t
marry Ethan Harris.
Not even if my life depended on it. And
definitely no kids with him.
For the next few months…
Olivia kept me by her side like a shadow.
Avoiding any place we might run into Ethan.
Honestly, she was overthinking it.
<
Ethan and I were from different worlds.
Ethan Harris, heir to a business empire,
campus celebrity.
And me.
Average girl, plain looking, more interested in
food than anything else.
I’d seen him at school events before.
He was always surrounded by girls, never
noticing me in the corner.
Besides…
く
After five years, even Ethan admitted he
didn’t like me.
So what if we bumped into each other?
Olivia said meaningfully, “You’re young, you don’t understand these things.”
“He clearly didn’t like you, but he was
entangled with you for five whole years.
At this point, she snorted, her dislike for Ethan intensifying.
“If he’s also been reborn, he might try to entangle you again!”
<
Rebirth wasn’t something you could just wish
for.
Back then, I didn’t take it seriously at all.
We ran into some rich girls who used to look
down on us.
Olivia, acting strangely, greeted and chatted
with them.
