“He’s the CEO of Galaxy Group!” One of the women gasped.
“Chris?! The CEO?!” Lila said in utter shock.
Dressed in a tailored suit, starkly contrasting to his usual casual attire, Chris stood beside me.
His golden hair shimmered under the lights, and his green eyes were sharper than ever. He exuded an aura of authority that demanded respect without anger.
His presence captivated the entire room, and I could even sense the pheromones emanating from some of the female werewolves.
“I wonder if he has a mate yet.”
“Even if he does, I wouldn’t’mind going on a date with him.”
I overheard whispers from the women around me.
Noah stared at Chris in shock, murmuring to himself,
“How is this possible? Chris is my teacher. How could he be the CEO of Galaxy Group?”
Equally stunned, Kael quickly stepped forward with a slightly awkward smile and extended his hand.
“I didn’t realize you were the CEO of Galaxy Group. About our last meeting, I may have said some things I shouldn’t have. I hope you can forgive me.”
Chris ignored Kael’s outstretched hand, his tone icy as he asked,
“What’s going on here?”
“There’s this shameless woman who snuck in and tried to disrupt our signing ceremony. I was just about to have her thrown out,” Kael replied.
Lila chimed in with a flattering smile,
“Exactly! Nothing should interfere with the partnership between our two companies.”
Their words infuriated Chris.
“A shameless woman?”
Lila nodded enthusiastically, pointing at me.
“Yes, Veya! She forged your invitation and lied about being invited by you.”
Kael quickly added,
“You know, she used to be my mate and managed my company for a while. But we have no relationship now. She’s just here trying to find a new sponsor to take care of her.”
