I searched through my memories and recalled that he had indeed come to see me about a week ago.
That day, he was waiting for me at the building where I worked. I had just gotten off work, and I saw him the moment I stepped out of the building, but I ignored him.
He nervously trailed behind me until I could not bear it any long and stopped in my tracks.
“Honey…” he called out carefully from behind.
“We’re divorced, Shane.”
He walked over with his head hung low. He had lost so much weight that even his shadow had become significantly thinner.
He fished the huge photobook out from his bag. “Take this. As a memento.‘
I did not take it.
“There’s nothing to remember. I can barely recall the things that happened between us all those years.”
His hands that were clutching the photobook would not stop shaking.

Chapter 9.
“I know I’ve wronged you. Every day, I wonder to myself how I ended up losing you.
“I know I didn’t make you smile every day. I thought that all of this would pass. I thought that as long as I still loved you, you would eventually forgive me.”
I circled him and then left without even another look back.
Whether it be the body or the soul, as soon as they lose their way, they can never be found again.
I never would have expected Robyn to seek me out at our house. When Leonard opened the door and saw that it was her, his face immediately fell. He went to shut the door but was stopped by her.
“Leonard, please take me back.”
I was carrying a big bowl of pasta out when I heard this, and I nearly dropped it on the floor.
Robyn was covered in dirt, and there was only one shoe on her feet. Her belly was also very large. When she saw me, her eyes darted away in a panic.
I walked over. “What’s going on? Are you lost?”
She pursed her lips, and it was a while before she finally blurted out, “The baby… There was a mistake with the baby. It’s not Shane’s.”
I nearly burst out in laughter, but after seeing my brother’s dark expression, I forced myself to hold it in. “Shane’s mother took me to get a DNA test for the baby, and they didn’t match.”
She was blubbering pathetically and kept using the back of her hands to wipe her tears away.
It had only been a few months, and she had already gained a lot of weight. Her disheveled look only made her seem more pathetic.
“Leonard, I know I’ve made mistakes. But for the sake of the baby, can you forgive me?”
