When I reached the rooftop, I saw Jessica immediately.
She was standing at the edge, swaying as if she could fall off at any second.
The wind blew through her long hair, making her look even more pitiful.
What shocked me even more was that she was live–streaming!
Her phone was propped up on a tripod facing her.
The chat was flooded with messages, and every single one was bashing me.
[Scumbag! You tricked this girl, and now you’re trying to drive her to suicide!]
[Someone should skin him alive!]
[Boycott Chris! Boycott his company!]
Jessica was crying so dramatically, tears streaming down her face as she spoke to the camera.
“I worked so hard to build this company, even married him, and gave him everything…
“Now he’s taking everything away and wants to fire me, just kicking me out…
“What’s the point of living? Maybe it’s better to just die…”
She cried even harder as she kept sneaking glances at the viewer count.

The police had arrived on the scene, trying to calm Jessica down.
But she wasn’t listening at all, continuing to play the victim on her live–stream.
A crowd had gathered downstairs, pointing and gossiping.
The murmurs filled the air, buzzing around me like a swarm of flies.
“This guy is such a scumbag!”
“Ungrateful! Heartless!”
“People like him deserve to be hanged!”
I felt like I was being roasted alive, uncomfortable, and trapped.
Just then, Logan appeared right on time.
Before I could say a word, he kneeled in front of me, banging his head on the ground.
“Mr. Morgan, please, give us a chance to survive!
“We’re just regular folks. You can’t do this to us!”
He was crying, snot and tears everywhere, making it look like I had done something unspeakably evil to him.
The crowd grew even more riled up.
“Capitalist! Vampire!”
“Exploiting employees! Pushing them to death!”
“People like him belong in hell!”
I felt like I was suffocating.
The shareholders also called, their voices full of urgency.
“Chris, you need to handle this situation now!
“The stock price has already dropped a lot!
“If this keeps going, the company will be done for!”
I took a deep breath, trying to calm myself down.
I walked up to Jessica and asked helplessly, “What do you want from me?”
Jessica hiccupped through her tears, replying.
“Give me the company back…
“I’ll come down…”
I sighed in frustration.
I pulled out the agreement I had prepared earlier and handed it to her.
“Sign it.”
Jessica grabbed the agreement and quickly signed her name.
As soon as she finished, her tears stopped, and a smug smile appeared on her face.

Logan also got up from the ground, looking just as pleased.
“After all your plotting, what did it get you?
“In the end, you’re still going to have to give the company back to us.”
I looked at them, feeling speechless.
I pointed to the agreement and said flatly, “Why don’t you take a look at what that is?”
Chapter 8
I pointed to the words Divorce Agreement in big letters on the paper and said, still speechless, “Take a good look.
“This is clearly a divorce agreement, not some company thing.”
At this, Jessica’s smile instantly froze.
Her eyes widened as she carefully examined the document.
Her face turned from pale to red, then to pale.
“You! You tricked me!”
She screamed, her voice sharp and grating, like a cat whose tail had just been stepped on.
“A divorce agreement? You actually tried to pull this on me!”
She tore the document into pieces, and the scraps fell like snowflakes.
“I’ll jump off the building! I’ll drag you down with me!”
She ran to the edge of the rooftop and pretended like she was going to jump.
I sneered inwardly.
She really didn’t learn until she was staring death in the face.
But this time, the police had wised up.
