After finding a gun on the bed, I walked out to ask Irene but didn’t find her. I saw that she had left the chicken and ingredients on the table, knowing Irene, I knew something had come up, so she rushed, leaving things behind. She always did this; it was not a big deal to
her
So calling Noah, I asked him to come over so he could take the gun and investigate. After that, I placed everything back in their place- the ingredients, because who was I kidding, Irene didn’t know how to cook.
I spent the rest of the day calling the court and pressuring them into doing what I asked them to do: I knew someone who worked there, and she made sure Patricia received the lawsuit that day.
I don’t know why I was expecting Patricia to call me; it’s obvious the boy was mine. I thought she would panic and call me, maybe not to go through with the DNA, but she didn’t, and I didn’t want to make her believe I was worried. She had to know I knew I would win, so I stopped myself from calling her.
Irene returned that evening 1 asked her about the gun, and she told me it belonged to a friend. Knowing Irene, I knew she was lying, but that wasn’t important, and besides, Noah was looking into it, so I let it go.
We went to bed, and the next morning I got up early and headed to the court. Like I said, I knew a friend who worked there, so I was going to ask her to speed up the process. I really couldn’t live knowing I had a son who didn’t know about my existence, that Patricia was keeping him from me.
Like I said, a friend, as I explained everything to her, including the contract, told me the court would be on my side as long as there was no contract, and if Patricia brought out the contract, I might lose the case
I knew there e was no possible way for Patricia to get the contract, so I was confident I would win; getting to the company, I went straight to her office as her assistant told me she was there. Now I really didn’t want to take her to court; I just wanted her to panic and tell me the truth, then allow me to be in my son’s life, and who knows, maybe she could give me a chance. Yes, she was married, but again, that’s the purpose of divorce.
So I went to her office, but upon entering, I was shocked to find that Jack and Irene were there. Irene was onto her tricks, which I wasn’t interested in, as I was more worried about Jack. Why was he getting so close to Patricia, and she called him by his name? It really bothered me.
Well, Irene’s games passed, and for the first time, it backfired. I mean, years ago when she pulled such stunts. I always defended her, but in the end, I watched the footage. I wanted Patricia to stand up for herself; that’s why I never defended her, so her asking for the footage and showing it to us was surprising and made me want her even more, as I loved her confidence.
After Irene and Jack left, I tried to scare Patricia, but she wasn’t budging. It even got to a point where she was going to terminate the contract, and I couldn’t allow that as the company needed her. I left after she said she wanted Irene to apologize. I was going to get Irene when Jack followed me and asked me to do it like I was a fool
Inside my office, I got Irene, she refused when I told her about apologizing to Patricia.
“I always accused her because, let’s be honest, you have camera footage, and I know you used to watch the scenes and find the truth, but never have you asked me to apologize. Why today?” she questioned.
“Because Patricia is needed by this company, another scandal and we are doomed,” Jack said, whom I didn’t realize followed me in
“Well, I’m not apologizing.” Irene sounded stubborn. “In fact, she should be apologizing to me. I am Mrs. Miller; she disrespected ine.”
“You don’t get it, do you?” Jack took small steps toward her. “That woman is not Patricia but Mrs. Cooper. She’s the most powerful woman in England, London.”
“Good, this is America.” Irene sounded careless as she was now playing with her fingernails.
“I doesn’t matter, if we mess with her, we lose this company for good. Is that what you want?”
“That’s impossible; Logan is the most powerful here in Miami; she can’t do shit.”
“Yes, she can because we are already facing a lawsuit from our previous client, so this will be like icing on the cake. Logan is your husband; if you care even just a little about him if you want the money to keep flowing, then you’re going in there and apologizing to Mrs. Cooper, and she doesn’t have the patience to wall, so-
“Fine! I’ll go.”

Now, I couldn’t p go there and watch such an embarrassment, but I nude a mental note to watch it from the footage later as I would like To see how Patricia would react to the apology; she was really a hell of a woman, and I loved it
Walking to my seat, I sat down and started off with work
It took a few more minutes for bene to return, and when she did, I stood up and asked her to go home so I could work, but that’s when she brought out a brown envelope from her purse and asked me to open it.
