They all surprisingly stood up and the lady who led me here asked me to have a seat, and sitting down she left as the rest also sat down, I was a little confused, sure Richard invested in their company or whatever but they were the most successful film making company in Florida, why were they treating me like this?
“Welcome, Mrs. Cooper. We were just waiting for you so we could go through the whole setup and everything together. One of them said, making me clear my throat as I searched for my professional voice. “Alright, can we all go to the first page, introduction.” started, and seeing the little booklet in front of me, I turned to the first page.

Does she want to use her own actors or will we use ours?” One of the men asked me to read through the first page as I was still not getting what was happening, we were supposed to be talking about how they wanted me to assist them, we were supposed to be discussing my position in the company, whether as their senior editor or agent, maybe even proofreader, as not only did they make films but they also publish books–the same thing I was doing with Cooper Publishing and working on my own app shooting those dramas from my book, although with mine the shooting wasn’t that of a professional to make a movie but just short ree
I read through, and that’s when I realized they were preparing to shoot a movie of my very first book. Well, there was no need to think of it. Richard did this. I remember telling him many times how much I wanted it to be filmed and not just a drama short but a real movie that could go on online streaming platforms.
Understanding everything I told them using their actors would be a good idea.
“Alright, we will draw up everything, the locations, and then get actors ready. We would require you to be present at the shootings and the audition, I hope you can make time.”
“Of course, when is that?”
“Probably tomorrow, our boss will go through everything, and after that, we can start with the whole process. For now, can we go through everything, the locations, and just make sure everything is right with you? We did make some edits so it could meet up with the production requirement.”
“Of course,” I answered as I paged, and that’s when I saw the title, ‘Lovers Illusion. My very first novel was finally going to be filmed. I mean, I was planning to turn it into a short drama and put it on my app, but let’s be honest, it would reach many people if it were filmed. here as a movie, as it wouldn’t be just online; it would go on theaters and cinemas, and who knows, it might just make me even more famous, so when they asked if anything needed to be changed, I shook my head and asked them to go through it with me page by page.
Everyone was very attentive; it’s like whatever I said was the most important, as of all the changes I made, they just agreed without raising so many arguments. I mean, it was my story; sure, I knew better how to deliver it, but this was a whole other level of production. I didn’t know much about it.
It took about an hour to be done reviewing and making changes; the one who seemed in charge promised to let me know once a new draft was made.
After that was set, everyone left as I waited for the other lady who escorted me here to show me to my office, yes, I was given an office here.
The woman appeared shortly after and then led me to an office, it was already cleaned and seemed ready for an author, as there were notepads on the side and colorful pens. There was also a beautiful view from the window and fresh roses.

Richard picked up on the first ring and asked if I was comfortable; I told him I loved it and thanked him. He proposed coffee, and I told him I had a few documents to review, but he insisted, saying it would just be for a few minites, so giving in, Lagreed, and then, ending the call, I called Florence, who picked up on the third ring
“I don’t know how you did it, but I’m struggling to keep this place together”
“It has not been a week, and you’re already complaining“”
“Because it’s a lot, my head is in pain, my hands are hurting from signing over a hundred documents. Oh wall, one of the authors just released their book, and I had to sign over a thousand copies, which were sold out this morning, and now the publishing team is working on a thousand more, which will need my signature, like, give me a break”
“Again, it has not been a week yet. Tell me about production; how is it going?”

I’ve been ignoring him all morning, and I thought maybe picking up would help since I didn’t want him calling while I was with Richard.

“Of course I’m fine. I can’t believe you’re still calling me after last night.”
“I was worried about you: I couldn’t concentrate.”
“Well, I’m doing line, so stop worrying. I–I am so sorry, I stopped as I looked up at the person I had just bumped; coffer had spilled all over his shin, which he didn’t seem to mind as his eyes were on me,
