Chapter 39
PREVIOUS DAY
LOGAN
After Victoria left. I asked my assistant to get Patricia’s hair as Victoria left hers. I personally took it as I wanted to make sure she wasn’t tricking me
My assistant went on a mission to collect hair from Patricia.
I was so nervous as I thought she wouldn’t succeed.
I didn’t want Patricia to know, I mean, this was like a game. Telling Patricia now would make her think I just wanted to keep her, and what if she maybe didn’t want to find her family? What if Victoria was playing me?
I couldn’t risk Patricia thinking any less of me as I was trying to impress and win her heart, not cause problems, so I anxiously waited for my assistant, who was taking forever.
After a few minutes, she returned, and I immediately asked if she got it, and when she showed me the brush, I smiled.
“I was able to get the brush without her noticing,” she said, and I thanked her and told her she did a good job. “But I don’t know how I will return it as it will raise suspicions if she notices it missing.” She didn’t sound free.
“You’re right.” I said as I collected strands and placed them in a mini plastic bag before placing the plastic in the envelope next to the plastic that had Victoria’s hair strands.
“Mrs. Cooper doesn’t want me back there, she didn’t even talk to me, which is strange. Oh, and I had to lie that you requested to see her.” She said, making me nod in understanding. Now, on a normal day, lying was a crime here, and I could have fired her, but she did it for my good.
“I will give you something for your discretion, and as for the brush, I will return it myself; thank you,” I told her before dismissing her, and then I called the lab. I knew a guy who could do it for me for free, so after the call, I sent the envelope and told him I needed the results within the next day.
The rest of the day, I pretended to work; I say pretended because I was thinking about Patricia all the time; God, she had become so beautiful.. her lips, curves, that confidence, Jeez! These thoughts alone made my dick erect.
“Oh,” I groaned as it was getting uncomfortable.
I really don’t know how Richard did it, and I was really sorry, but I had to win her back; she was just too hot for him. She was my type: beautiful, smart, confident. God, that tone! How she walked out on me she had never done that. The Patricia from years ago would never dare walk out on me. In fact, she cried for my attention, but this one, she reminded me a bit of Irene.
Yes, Irene, that’s what attracted me to her, how she was confident, how she didn’t care that I was with Patricia; she wasn’t clingy, and that’s what turned me on, but after marrying her, she had become like Patricia, well, the old Patricia, as I’m sure this one didn’t give a shit;
t; so, Irene wasn’t my type anymore, especially because she was psycho; I just had to find a perfect time to give her divorce papers, as for now I wanted her to be calm.
She earlier agreed to see a therapist, which was a good start, as once she is herself again, I will tell her I didn’t love her and that I wanted Patricia. Irene was understanding, and I’m sure when she is herself, she won’t care; in fact, she will be the first to sign the divorce papers.
A smile tugged at my lips at the thought of having Patricia back; it was not going to be easy considering her contract with Richard, but as they say, let the best man win, so I would give it my everything.
Aknock snapped me out of my beautiful thoughts. Calming my racing heart and clearing my throat, I asked the person to come in, and it was no surprise it was my uncle, Jack.
“Yes?” I said, pretending to look into the computer as I shifted in my seat, my dick was up–I thanked the inventors for the desk which covered it as it would be embarrassing for my uncle to see.
“You’re not
going back to Miller group?”
“No, I’m here for now, they don’t need me there; I’m needed here.” I lied; I only wanted to be close to Patricia
“You know I have everything under control”
“No, I don’t Can’t you see that this company is about to go down!”

Chapter 19
“Thust a why we are working with Mrs. Cooper, she has fans, and once she starts saying good things about us, we will be on top, just like
” He smiled, but this wasn’t a joking matter. The scandal with the author was really putting my company at stake. She wanted full rights to the movie, which wasn’t possible as she was not the owner, she was just a writer, and we paid her her share. We still give her six
rent of the revenue generated, but she wanted fifty, which is next to impossible.
“I worked hard to build this company to the top, uncle. I won’t let your reckless mistake ruin it. Listen.” I reached for the contract, which I placed in the drawers. “Go to her give her this contract, tell her to sign in, she gets twenty percent revenue, and that’s our final
“But Logan-
“If she refuses tell her to be ready for court because we
Il not tolerate it”
“She said the contract was forged and that we gave her full rights before”
“Everyone in the industry knows that never happens.
“But thats what the public is starting to believe.”
“Just do this, if it doesn’t work, then we will try other means, okay?”
“You’re the boss” Uncle Jack agreed, and after taking the contract, he left.
Now it was almost time for Patricia to leave, and I had to return her brush, so grabbing it from the table. I went to her office. Of course, I distracted her with small talk which worked, as I managed to slip the brush back into her handbag without her noticing.
Patricia agreed to have coffee with me. There was no date yet, but it was a step.
Then getting back to my office, I received a call from Irene. Now, I would ignore her, but I knew doing so would make her lose her mind and stop seeing her therapist, and I really wanted her to return to her senses, so I picked up. She said Poppy invited us to her parents house for dinner. I agreed, and she said she was already there. I just had to meet her there.
Well after closing for work. I drove straight there.
Michael and Poppy were not there yet, but Mr. and Mrs. Rodriquez received us with so much love. Everything was going well until a figure I never expected appeared.
Patricia!
