Chapter 45
Lined to open my eyes but failed as the brightness was just too much, and strangely, they were hurting. I could hear the distant voices of my husband and someone I couldn’t recognize. I also heard the buzzing sound and felt a tingly feeling on my body, arms to be precise. It’s like a bug or something sensitive was walking over my body.
It was beginning to stress the heck out of me, so I forced my eyes open despite the pain, and that’s when I saw my husband Richard by the door. He was giving me his back by looking at things. I could tell he was speaking to someone who was outside the door.
I then looked down at my arms, and that’s when I realized that the tingly feeling was caused by Andreas’s toy, yes, he was moving it on my body.
Andreas didn’t notice that I was awake, so I cleared my throat. At first, he was a little confused as he asked his toy if it was the one that cleared its throat. It was actually funny to watch. Well, I needed some water, so I muttered asking for water, and that’s when he looked up at my face, and seeing I was awake, he quickly got down from the seat and then ran to Richard without saying a word.
Richard, following Andreas’s direction as he pointed to me, closed the door and then came toward me.

“W–a–t–e–r.” I struggled and said since my throat was even dry, Richard quickly got a glass and then poured some water into it. He came to the bed, and after he helped me sit up, he positioned the glass onto my mouth so that I could sip on it without holding the glass.
After taking the water. Richard asked if 1 needed anything else, but I told him I was good. Instead, I asked what happened with that

“He left; the documents are here; we have forty–eight hours to respond.”
“That’s impossible.”
“I know it seems he has pulled s

“But you know DNA will prove him right”
“Not if we can help it. The man who just left is a lawyer, he’s going to write back to the court telling them that we don’t accept the DNA. that we think it will put Andreas in an uncomfortable situation, and that I was not okay with having my son tested as I know he is mine.” He said it all at once, and it was kind of making sense, so I nodded.

“Good, how are you feeling? The doctor said it was stress and that two hours of rest would do.”
“I’m fine.” I bed as my head was hurting, but nothing I couldn’t handle.
“Alright, now get some rest. I will help Andreas get ready for bed, then make a phone call before I join you. Good” He asked, and I
wget nodded my head, then he called Andreas, telling him it was time to go to bed. “But before that, teeth please,” he said, and Andreas ran to the bathroom.
Richard, after helping me get comfortable in bed, followed Andreas, and I watched until he entered, then closed my eyes as I distracted. myself with some dumb riddles and math equations in my head just so I could not think of Logan and the case, as I knew my head would just explode if I did.
I don’t know when I fell asleep or when Richard joined me, as when I opened my eyes, I was met with brightness, but this time it wasn’t from the lamp but the window curtains; then I realized it was morning
I turned to Richard, who seemed fast asleep. I was feeling much better, so getting up, I walked to the bathroom, where I took a shower, and when i was done, I went to my son, woke him up, and helped him take a bath too.
Richard woke up while I was brushing Andreas‘ hair.
“Good morning, honey, did you have a good sleep?” I asked, and he looked confused for a second until his eyes landed on the clock. Seeing it was seven, he kind of looked relaxed. “Alright, hit the shower, I’m sure you are needed at the company.”

“Yes” Andreas agreed, and Richard looked confused as he rubbed sleep from his eyes.
“Are going to continue with our lives. He will not rush it for us.

I ordered room service, they will be here soon, I would hit the shower if I were you.” I said, and he still looked confused, but he got up and walked toward the bathrooms. “Please wash your hair, you were scratching your scalp all night,” I said but didn’t get a response, well. I knew he heandd me, so there was no need to repeat myself.
Andreas was now ready to go. I was too well, except with my makeup, so giving Andreas a coloring book. I asked him to color while I did
The hotel staff came and brought our breakfast. Richard was done by then, as he was the one who received it while I finished curling my hair

We had our breakfast, and after that left for work. Richard didn’t get a response from the authorities; he said they were still looking as all the camera footage was erased. I knew Noul was behind that since he was also in there so I just sighed
When we reached the company, Richard asked if I was really sure, and I told him I was certain. I didn’t want Logan to think he intindated me. 1 was going to continue with my project even when I had to face him. Well, I hoped not, as he had another company to deal with, and besides. Noella mentioned that he is rarely here, so I just hoped he didn’t come here today, or if he did, then I shouldn’t bump into him
After bidding Richard and Andreas goodbye, I walked in, and of course, Noella rushed to me as soon as I entered.
