Chapter 6
LOGAN
Okay, I didn’t understand what was happening here. I mean, after a long day dealing with incompetent employees and hig–headed clients, I come home, and the first thing I find is blood in my living room. Now, coming to the dining room. I find divorce papers? Was this some kind of a joke! Were there cameras around?
I looked around as I shook my head, not wanting to believe in. Oh, she might be wanting a reaction from me for her novel because there was no way she was asking me for a divorce.
I turned back and looked at her and saw she wasn’t joking; her face. I couldn’t even recognize her.
“You sent me a million a few weeks ago; since we signed a prenup, I will take that as compensation
*Excuse me?”
You can send my copy to my email.” She said ignoring me, she was going to leave, but I couldn’t allow that to happen, so I held her back by her hand “William?”
“I don’t know what has come over you, but you better stop it and get me real food: I’m not in a good mood.”
“Let Go. Of. Me.” She sounded angry; never has she spoken to me this way before, so I raised my brows, waiting for her to apologize, but instead she started laughing. I looked around as I wondered what was funny. “Oh, you want food, right?” She stopped making me knit my brows. “Alright, Mr. Millers, free my hand; your meal is already there; let me get a drink for you,” she sarcastically said, “Let me guess, bleach, or would you like vinegar?”
I couldn’t believe her, what was wrong with her? Was she high or something? Maybe the medication the doctors gave her if she was really at the hospital,
I felt her remove
remove her hand from my grip; I was too shocked to speak or stop her.
“I’ll take that as a no, if you are hungry, get in the kitchen and make yourself a damn meal because I’m not your maid.” She said that in a calm tone, making me wonder even more why she was this calm asking for a divorce. “I expect a copy to be sent to my email within three days.” I heard her say, and she was going to leave when I finally spoke up
“Why are you acting surprised? Or what you thought I would really choose you over Irene, really?” I laughed, and for a moment she looked hurt, but as I said, for a moment, because next she cleared her throat and told me she wouldn’t stay even if I chose her, “Excuse me!” Okay, she was really getting on my nerves now; she needed me. She was nothing without me, so why was she behaving like I was the one who needed heri
“Goodbye. Logan.
“Wait, wait, wait, are you being serious right now?”
“You suggested divorce earlier.”
“Which you refused.”
“Before your mistress pushed me”
“Seriously?” I couldn’t believe she was still onto the victim game; I rubbed my forehead as she continued saying she almost lost her life. Irene wasn’t that person, and she would never do such a thing to anyone, so I knew she was lying. She pushed Irene, and then seeing me made her fall to the floor. Irene explained to me already, “You are nothing without me.”
“That’s where you are wrong. I was offered a job, and —
“Oh, you forget who I am in the city, no one will hire you if I say so; in fact, I’ll contact whoever hired you to terminate the contract.”
“Honestly, it doesn’t matter anymore, do what you want, but just make sure you sign the divorce documents. I am tired of
“You’re the one who’s tired? You are so ungrateful, Patricia. You know what? I think I’ve been too nice..” I was now pissed; I took the document from the plate, and since she saved time by providing a pen. I placed my signature on it without hesitation.
Done. I took my phone and took pictures
es of each page before sending it to my lawyer.
“The divorce will be finalized within a day; expect a copy from my lawyer; one million will be deposited into your account as compensation.” I said, and she only nodded her head; she was waping away tears. Of course she couldn’t live without me; she really thought I would stop seeing Irene with the divorce threat.
Chapter 6
“I’m going out you know what I mean by that. I won’t come back alone, so pack your things and leave. With that I grabbed my s jacket, and without turning back–ignoring her sobs–1 left.

My heart was racing. I couldn’t believe Patricia really went ahead and filed for a divorce. I’m the one who didn’t love her. Last time I remember, she was confessing to having fallen for me, so this didn’t make sense.
In my car. I drove straight to the apartment I got her, the one Irene was now staying in. I just needed her to distract me: I needed her to calm me down, as the fact that Patricia is the one who filed for the divorce didn’t sit well with me. Sure, I’m the one who suggested it, but that was just to scare her, to stop her from questioning me.
“Maybe it’s because of the job I thought and then searched for my phone; getting it, I dialed my PA’s contact
“Mr. Miller?”
“I want you to
“Alright, sir, I
o find the company
y that
gave my wife a job,”
“I want feedback within five minutes, contact them and ask them to terminate the contract. If they refuse, pull out any dirty secret we have on them and use it. Am I clear?”
“Yes, sir.”
“Good” I quickly ended the call and threw the phone on the passenger’s seat before rubbing my face. I was going to continue to drive. then I remembered how serious Patricia’s face looked What if she really leaves and tries to get a hotel? I couldn’t let that happen.
With that thought I quickly reached for my phone. I thanked God there was no traffic as I was risking my life pulling my y eyes from the road while I was driving, I got my phone, dialed Noah’s number again, and he picked up on the first riig
“I got the company, sir.”
“Good, give them a call and do as I asked. Now another thing I don’t want any hotel to give her shelter, so get that done as well.”
“Yes, sir.” 1 again ended the call, now I just had to ask guards to go and kick her out of my house. She won’t dare come to this apartment: I bought it for her, and Irene was staying here; she had no one, so she will be in the streets tonight. That’s the lesson she will learn for speaking to me as she pleased.
I looked out the window, and seeing the clouds, a smile crept on my lips. “Let’s see how you’ll survive in the rain without a roof over your head.” I said to myself and then got out of the car and headed toward the apartment’s entrance.

Irene was already waiting by the door, dressed in red, my favorite color. I quickened my steps as I felt my dick get hard; she was doing the move that always turned ine on.
“Hello, handsome?” She kissed me as soon as I reached the door, she tried to pull away, but I was not ready to, “Logan..” she giggled, “We’re outside
“That’s why there’s privacy” I said against her lips; I was about to pick her when my phone started ringing. Now I really wanted to know if Noah had done as I asked him. I wanted to know that when I got home, I would find Patricia shivering in the cold, begging me to forgive lier.
So I pulled away and picked.
“Noah!”
“I did as you asked; however, I think what we did is useless.”
“Excuse me?”
“Mrs. Miller was seen
ler was seen at the airport.”
“What?!” I quickly pulled away from Irene.
“She’s leaving the state, Mr. Miller,
