Chapter 0054
Agnes
I stared at the screen, watching the final cut of the video Katy and I had worked so hard on. Thirty seconds. Just thirty seconds to sum up everything we were trying to achieve–balancing fashion and comfort, reaching a broader audience, and making Silvermoon relevant to everyday people again. My heart raced with anticipation, and nerves twisted in my stomach.
The message was simple: When was the last time you wore something truly comfortable?
I glanced over at Elijah, who stood beside me, watching the video with a focused intensity. His gaze remained steady on the screen, his jaw set in that unreadable expression he so often wore.
“Well?” I asked, trying to keep my voice calm. “What do you think?”
Without saying a word, he reached for his phone. My confusion deepened as I watched him scroll through his apps, then stop on one that was all too familiar–his social media profile.
“Elijah?” I asked hesitantly, my eyes widening.
“I’ll upload it from my personal account,” he said, still focused on his phone. “It’ll get more eyes that way.‘
My jaw dropped slightly. Elijah was famously private on social media, only posting when absolutely necessary. His followers were in the millions, and any post from him garnered massive attention.
The idea of him sharing our little video on his account felt… surreal.
“Are you sure?” I asked, my voice trembling slightly. “That’s a lot of attention.”
He glanced up at me. “That’s the point, isn’t it? To get people talking.”
I blinked, unable to form a response. This was huge–Elijah’s endorsement was bigger than anything I could have hoped for.
He pressed a few buttons, and within seconds, the video was live. Just like that. A small notification popped up on his phone: Video successfully uploaded.
“There,” he said, sliding his phone back into his pocket. “Let’s see what happens.”
I nodded, still in shock. The gravity of what had just happened began to sink in. Elijah had put his name, his reputation, behind my vision.
The thought was both exhilarating and terrifying.
“You didn’t have to do that,” I said quietly, feeling a mixture of gratitude and anxiety.
He turned to face me fully. “Yes, I do. You’re my Luna, and this is your project. Of course I’ll endorse it.”
His words hit me square in the chest, and for a moment, I could only stare at him. Of course that was all this was for him; duty. I glanced back down at the screen, chewing my lip. Was my work actually good, or was he just doting on me because I was his Luna now?
The response to the video was immediate. My phone buzzed constantly with notifications as comments, likes, and shares flooded in. People were talking about it–really talking about it.
I sat in my office, watching the numbers climb. What started as a few dozen likes quickly turned into hundreds, then thousands. The video was resonating with people in ways I hadn’t anticipated.
I scrolled through the comments, my heart racing with excitement.

“Finally! Fashion that’s practical AND stylish!”
“Where can I buy these clothes??”
“This is exactly what I’ve been waiting for. Comfort AND elegance!”
Elijah’s social media account was doing wonders for the video’s visibility. His followers–many of whom were powerful, influential figures in the fashion world–were taking notice. It felt like a dream, watching it all unfold in real time.
“Agnes, look at this!” Katy burst into the room, her face flushed with excitement. She held up her phone, showing me the trending page. “Your video is trending! People are talking about it all over social media!”
I stared at her screen, my heart pounding in my chest.
“Oh my god…”
Katy grinned. “This is huge! Elijah posting the video made all the difference. Everyone’s watching it. This could be the turning point we’ve been waiting for.”
I nodded, barely able to process it all. It was happening–it was actually happening. The video was gaining traction, the message was getting out there, and people were listening.
But I couldn’t celebrate just yet. This was only the beginning. The real challenge was convincing the design department to back this new direction.
I knew there would be resistance–Melinda, for one, would never go down without a fight.
“Okay,” I said, taking a deep breath. “We need to build on this momentum. Elijah wants me to present the video to the design team at the meeting tomorrow.”
