We had done a lot within only the first few hours of our date, leading me to suspect that Aidan had been planning this for more time than I thought. Í was having more fun than I had in months…and an entirely different experience than I’d had in years, so I wasn’t complaining at all.
First, it was an amazing dinner, just as Aidan had said, and then we started to walk around town. We found ourselves at a movie house where we spent the whole time gossiping, laughing, and pissing off the rest of the spectators before we finally got the subtle cue from everyone to fuck off.
We moved on to a pottery workshop where Aidan successfully charmed the female potter to let us shape some clay. It was messy, but with the constant laughing, and getting to see how handsome Aidan looked when he focused like that, it was perfect.
Aidan had long finished his work which resembled the cup he claimed it was, while I was still struggling to make my vase look nothing like a deformed shark as Aidan watched.

Aidan and 1 laughed, and then I turned my attention to him, and just as immediately, got hit in the face with his hypnotic scent.
“I’m having fun though,” I managed to say. “Even though I’m sure every other person who’s been where we went has wanted nothing more than to kill us with their eyes. I am lucky I have an alpha by my side,” I teased.
Aidan shook his head, his eyes going a little hooded and dark with something that i couldn’t place. “I couldn’t care about that.”

Just before I could speak, my phone went off in my purse, and I cursed internally. My hands were too messy to reach for it and put the phone on silent, so Aidan beat me to it.
“Do you have to take this?” He asked, bringing the purse to me, but not reaching for the phone.
“No,” I responded immediately. “Could you just help me put it on silent?”
Aidan nodded, pulling the phone out as he spoke.
“There’s one last place I want you to see before the end of the night.” The way he said the best part made me think he was sad about us having to end the date, even if we had been out for hours now.
Still, excitement shot through me at the thought that there was more to the evening, so I asked. “Yeah?”
He nodded, lifting his hand to show me the caller on my phone, and on realizing who it was, I cursed, painfully shifting my attention to the caller.
Shit. I’m so sorry, Aidan, but I have to take this. I’ve been trying to get a hold of them since morning for some important restock items in the diner, but I haven’t been able to.”
Thats alright,” Aidan said, simultaneously swiping on the phone to answer the call.
He prised the phone to my ear, and my supplier’s voice came through.

Aidan, apparently, didn’t care about that t as he returned my phone to the purse, and brought the porcelain bowl containing the distilled water in front of me, so that he could wash my hands
“Well, it’s our date, and I say we can do whatever the heck we want, and talk about whatever we want, so tell me about work. Tara.”
Aidan turned fully on his stool to face me as he took my hands into the bowl, washing the mud off me gently, and with so much precision.
I was stunned with everything the intimacy of what Aidan was doing so casually, and how weirdly perfect our date was–and I found it difficult to process my words
Clearing my throat, I managed to say something
“I’ve gotten homesick, so I decided to add one of my mom’s Caribbean cake recipes to the list of snacks we’re putting on display at the diner next month. I need a specific brand of sugar that only my supplier at the edge of the puck has, and he’s down to his last few bags, so I have to get them before anyone else does
