“If it is possible, I would like to have these tests carried out again.”
“That’s enough young lady!!!” Mrs. Robertson yelled.
“Queen Meranda..” Freya gasped and Mrs. Robertson angrily left my side and slapped her.
“You despicable thing! How dare you ruin the peace of my family?!”
“Queen Meranda, Freya will never do something like that. There must be a mix–up somewhere,” Sumon briskly defended, holding his mate’s shoulders.
“Of course. I expect no less from you. She is your mate after all, how could she be wrong in your eyes? Such a shame that our Alpha doesn’t have that attribute!” She retorted while Roland slowly squeezed the paper in his hand. 1 saw through him like glass, this wasn’t the result he wanted. Was this how badly he wanted Aubrey back in his life!
“I am disgusted by your actions, Roland Mrs. Robertson continued. “Melissa is your mate! She cried, she swore several times, and she even pleaded for you to kill her just so you could believe her but what did you do instead? You openly disgraced her and listened to the words of this disgusting woman who wants to ruin the beauty of your home!”
“Queen Meranda“Freya tried to talk but the old woman’s glare shut her up immediately.
“One more word from you and I will have that deceitful tongue of yours cut off!” She threatened before turning to Roland again.
“You should be ashamed of yourself, Roland. Now everyone in the Pack thinks your mate cheated, the neighboring Packs and beyond must be using us as a laughingstock right now!”
Roland lowered his head, he couldn’t even look at me. Freya was still consumed by horror, holding on to her cheek Mrs. Robertson slapped Simon was brewing with confusion and the Pack Chiefs were obviously in support of Mrs. Robertson
I could almost laugh in appreciation of myself but for now, I had to keep pretending I was badly hurt from Roland’s betrayal. I needed everyone to pity me and I intended to use this sympathy as the defeating weapon to get rid of Freya once and for all.
Killing two birds with one stone. Now I wondered what decision Roland would take from here. I will be Luna, definitely but Freya? This might just be the end of the road for her.
