“Your twins are fine, Aubrey.” Damien said after briefly using his stethoscope on Aiden and Olivia in the pediatric examination room

“Their pulse is normal for a werewolf baby and their fever is gone as well.”
“But they had a fever this morning, I was scared shitless, Damien,” I lamented while gazing at my three–months–old twins playing cheerfully on the

“I understand how you must have felt but your twins are more special than an average three–months–old pup. They have stronger genes which means their wolves would develop within them at a faster rate, hence the fever. It was just a bonding between their blood and their wolves. In the future, their powers will be far greater compared to werewolves their age.”

I grinned before inching closer to him. I stretched my legs just to adjust his messy black hair.

Back then I accompanied my father just to see his new hospital and I remembered how he almost tripped chasing after me. Damien Duffey is one of the top doctors of Jordan Hospital. From the very beginning when he met me, he had made his intentions clear to me about his feelings for me but I rejected him. But over the course of the months we managed to stay as friends. I turned to the twins, tweaking my nose with Aiden while he smiled. “How’s your solo exhibition coming along?” He asked while he carried Olivia. She had dark hair with gray eyes that easily reminded me of Roland “The gallery and I are still in discussion about the date but l’in pretty nervous. “Of course, you’re going to say nice things as a friend,” I placed Aiden in the second stroller.
“I mean it. Your paintings are breathtaking. Aubrey. You made me a fan from day one and as you very well know, I have eyes for good things.”

“I hope the twins aren’t giving you a hard time?” He asked as we slowly walked down the hallway.
“Not really. Thanks to my father and Alex, they’ve been adjusting quite well playing the fatherly roles. There are days though when Alex just feels like ripping his hair out when Olivia starts her trouble?
He laughed. “Is that true, Ollie? You shouldn’t trouble your uncle,” he teased the little girl who coord in her stroller.

“By the way, you look ravishing tonight,” he commented and 1 giggled.
“At least you kept your hair tidied up tonight,” 1 chirped.

Roland suddenly cleared his throat, anger festering and jealousy festering in his eyes like a hungry animal. It made me wonder, why was he so bothered about Damien!
