Zack stood in front of Julius, cyring his face, which was so good–looking it drove people wild. His expression was a bit off. Julius, didn’t you say you weren’t into her?”
Zack had been swamped a few days back, but he knew that when Quiana got brought back to the Larson residence by Xavier, Julius had gone to see her and told Nolan that he would never marry Quiana.
No matter if Quiana was the real deal or not, the engagement was still on the table. Both Zack and Shane had asked if they should dig into this Quiana thing.
At that time, Julius had just said that he was not interested.
Zack suddenly thought of one possibility, saying, “Julius, did you see her today and think she’s hot and different? Did you fall for her at first sight and can’t stop thinking about her?”
Shane strolled over with some meds just in time to hear Zack’s words and couldn’t help but laugh. “With an imagination like that, it’s a shame you’re not writing novels. What a waste.”
Zack pouted, “Right? Otherwise, why would Julius suddenly want to check her out? If he’s snooping around, he must be into her. And if he’s into her…
As Zack rambled on a chill ran down his spine, and he looked up into Julius’s cold, brown eyes. They were sharp, like a knife, and made Zack clamp his mouth shut
“I’ll check her out right away!” Zack mumbled awkwardly before dashing off like his tail was on fire–like a wild animal was after him. Or rather, Julius seemed scarier than any wild animal to Zack
“One of these days, I’ll cut his tongue out,” Julius snorted.
Shane handed him the bowl of medicine with a grin. “You know he can’t keep his mouth shut. After a pause, he raised an eyebrow and asked, “Why the sudden interest in Quiana?”
Julius didn’t say a word. His long lashes hid any emotion as he took the bowl, breathed in the strong, bitter smell of the medicine, and downed it in one go without even a wince.
Quiana arrived at the Westside Film City. Even with a mask on, her stunning beauty and charm couldn’t be hidden
Cassie Brooks’s eyes sparkled as she grabbed her mini fan and rushed over, waving wildly, “Quiana, over here!”
Cassie was just in her early twenties, wearing a light–colored long dress that might have been a costume. Her youthful face was fresh and full of life and vitality, even without makeup.

Cassie had moved to the capital and started as an extra when she was about eighteen of nineteen. Now, two years later, thanks to her amazing acting and hard work, she’d landed her first big role.
“Oh come on, I’m not the star,” Cassie said, feeling a bit embarrassed. She’d signed with a small company earlier this year. But with the company pushing a big star, they couldn’t focus on her. She had to hustle to get this supporting role.
Hugo was there too, dressed all in black. His face was delicate and fresh, with sparkling eyes, looking like he could be Quiana’s twin, and he was carrying a small black cat carrier,
“Cassie,” Hugo greeted warmly with a smile, “Congrats on getting one step closer to the Best Actress award.”

Cassie reached out and tousled his fluffy short hair with a laugh. “You really know how to flatter.”
Hugo chuckled. “That’s just a matter of time.”

Cassie had met Quiana back when they were just extras on set. When there were no roles, she’d hang out with Quiana. They were pretty tight. Lately, she’d heard all the buzz about Quiana being the lost heiress of Janivielle’s wealthy Larson family.
Recalling Winona’s interview, Cassie rolled her eyes. “Twins? Come on, only suckers would buy that story”
Quiana didn’t care much and was about to say something when a figure suddenly appeared in her view, and he exclaimed. excitedly. “Mrs. Hawley, are you here playing an extra too?”
